The property was everything as described. The history and ties to Frank Lloyd Wright and Taliesin was a bonus. We look forward to returning.
We were two couples who enjoyed time together and flipped a coin for who got which bedroom. We had brought food for breakfast and found the view to be a good digestive. Thanks for the opportunity also to learn about Howe, the architect. We hope to stay there again some time.
We were extremely pleased with the condition of our suite, especially the stunning view overlooking Talliesin. Greg and Tia were great to work with prior to and upon arrival.
Hostess Tia Graves is most immediately prompt responding to emails and text communication. This property listing is very detailed, and proves to be thorough and accurate [ie driveway description, unreliable cellular service area, entrydoor steps over courtyard fountain--alternate entry was offered/provided but the usual entry was not difficult for my aging mother providing I valeted her luggage] so that expectations are realistic. The bedding, linens/towels, are clean and high-quality ensuring that each of the three overnights during my stay were most comfortable. The quality/condition of all the furnishings and amenities are superior and most adequate, including the well-stocked kitchenette dishware, ample paper towel/Kleenex/toilet tissue, lots of extra blankets, fans, space heaters/air conditioning units exceed the number of rooms!
The host home was absolutely charming!!! The owner's choice of decor added to the unique quaintness. The views of Taliesin from the main bedroom and rooftop deck was remarkable. The place was Perfect for a quiet getaway and located to so many local attractions. A not to be missed is seeing the night sky from the deck. We had a chance to witness numerous shooting stars. The sound of the waterfall set the mood for the entire relaxing weekend. Thank you for sharing this wonderful gem.
Quiet and comfortable
We enjoyed our girls weekend so much! The place was quiet and comfortable. The water feature is soothing and a nice white noise. Tia and Greg are friendly and helpful. The view from the master bedroom is stunning. Thank youfor sharing your place!
Taliesin visitor center and tours is one mile from home. The Visitor Center now offers public hiking at no charge from the parking lot along the Welsh Hills with spectacular Taliesin views. Unity Chapel, the Lloyd Jones Family Chapel and cemetery is nearby. House on the Rock tours are within a 15-20 minute drive. The House on the Rock Golf Resort is 2.5 miles from the home.
Peck's Landing, a Wisconsin River boat landing, is one mile from home. In the summer, the sand bars draw plenty of swimming/fun in the sun activities. Don't forget to pack your swim suit, sun screen and oh yes, mosquito repellent!
Spring Green, a town of about 1,600 residents is located 3.5 miles from the home. Spring Green has lovely shops and an independent book store.
World famous Ring Brothers automobile restoration shop is located in Spring Green. Tours are by reservation only on Thursday afternoons and must be set up well in advance of your trip. Guests should check out their website and call the shop for more information. It's a busy place.
The Sh**ty Barn, a popular music venue, is located in Spring Green. Shows sell out quickly. Guests should purchase tickets online well in advance of your stay. Tickets are sometimes available at the door. Bring a blanket or folding chairs to set up for a show. Guests can pack and bring their own picnic or purchase food onsite. Peck's Farm Market out on Highway 14 has a nice petting zoo for the kids and the kid in all of us, plus plenty of kids (goats that is).

Wonderful State Parks, such as Devil's Lake (Baraboo), Governor Dodge (Dodgeville) and Tower Hill are within an hour drive. Tower Hill is five minutes away.
Mineral Point with its well known historic Shake Rag Alley and plenty of art galleries is within half and hour. It is well worth the drive as is Richland Center in the opposite directions. In Richland Center, you'll find the German Warehouse, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
The Wyoming Valley Cultural Center, formerly the Wyoming Valley Elementary School is 5 minutes away. In the summers, it is usually open from 10-2 at no charge, unless there is a private event. Frank Lloyd Wright designed the school for local farm kids to attend. It's quite special.
While the area is full of delight, you might wish to simply stay on site and enjoy the nature.
