Guestbook comments from the owner

Willow Creek Cabin is right on Gore Creek, which makes a relaxing sound as it flows over rocks next to the deck. You can fish right there. This is a great asset to the house. The views of the brilliant yellow aspens on the mountainside were fabulous - we were lucky to be there during peak fall color.

This house is beautifully decorated, with huge amounts of storage and all of the conveniences. The kitchen is well equipped with an upscale stove. The bedrooms are large. Skiers would appreciate the big open tiled entryway - perfect for snow gear and equipment, and wet boots and coats. There is a large wall mounted flat screen TV, and a lot of media options. A huge dining area overlooks the creek, with nice views. Everything is as nice, if not better, than pictured on the websites.

Garden

The deck, on the creek, is huge. It has lots of seating and a nice big hot tub. The yard is full of perennials - lots and lots of flowers - and some nice clusters of aspen trees and evergreens.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

All three bedrooms were good sized and had queen sized beds - four such beds in all. Two bedrooms are on the lower level. One of those is huge, with two beds. The master bathroom was quite large with a king-sized bed and very nice. There were nice linens and plenty of extra pillows and blankets.

Frequent and FREE local bus service is maybe a half block away. This bus can take you anywhere in the Vail area easily. Large grocery stores are a mile or two away.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful cabin home right on Gore Creek with nice view of a mountain slope as well. Huge deck on creak with great large hot tub and nice barbecue. The home is perfect space for a family or group of friends. The house has large windows facing the creek with comfy couch for morning reading. Open the window and hear the creek while drinking your coffee! The kitchen was very well stocked and nice space for preparing meals. We only went out to dinner one night and ate at the house the rest of the time - it was too nice at "home". If you do want to go out you can walk to the free Vail shuttle which makes it easy to get into town or beyond (trailheads etc.)

Summer in the mountains is beautiful! We hiked a couple of days and also spend some time in Vail on the 4th for the fireworks. A couple of nights were cool enough to build a cozy fire in the fireplace in the cabin house. This was a great space and we look forward to renting it again. Highly recommend it!

Nice place to stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Maggie's home. It is very cozy and provides everything we needed. It was clean and neat. We had some friends over for dinner and had plenty of room and seating. The kitchen is well stocked. The layout of the bedrooms worked great.

It was close to a bus stop but we did not use it. The view out the back was amazing and has a huge deck to enjoy the great outdoors. It did not feel like we were surrounded by other properties.

Would definitely stay here again!!!!

This is the second time we have stayed at the cabin. It is a wonderful place. Very comfortable and convenient. It was a pleasure having the opportunity to work with the owners.

Great Log cabin base of operations!

  • 5 of 5

We celebrated a surprise 40th birthday party for my girlfriend at the log cabin home, and It was a fantastic stay! We had ample room for 7 people and all of their outdoor gear and ski equipment. The cabin was a short walk to the free shuttle that took us to Vail base, so we didn't really even need a car. The bedrooms were large and spacious. The common spaces were great! We would spend hours after skiing in the sunroom near the deck and evening hours after dinner in the living room (had sonos!) watching the fire. There was space enough for all to do what they wanted without retiring to their rooms. The highlight for us was the outside hot tub! Located on the deck, in a private setting, over-looking the bubbling stream! Yes!!

In all, we had an amazing time! We would highly recommend to anyone in a big group!

Thank you, we will return!

Cheers,

Family Ski week February 2016

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Cozy Log Cabin". The accomidations were perfect for our family. Our 5 year old grandson loved the deck, hot tub and the coziness of the cabin. His comments were " this is the coolest place ever".

As a repeat customer , for the third time , we will definitely return again.

At home in Vail

  • 5 of 5

What a great property! A group of 11 of us, including two kids, stayed this past week for four nights during a skiing trip. It was perfect!

The property is beautifully decorated and feels like home. Maggie, the owner, was very responsive (we weren't sure where to dispose of the garbage) and got an answer within minutes.

Everything worked perfectly - we were able to enjoy the tub, the fireplace, we cooked on the stove and on the outside grill. The shuttle stop is a 5 minute walk from the house.
