Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house as a last minute get away. The home and property are beautiful!

Ted met us at the dock with a warm and friendly welcome and even left us with a welcome basket of goodies for our stay. The house is surrounded by lake on 3 sides and the view is spectacular. In addition, we loved the privacy. The property and lake including several water falls, are a photographer’s paradise. We even have a few close up shots of a pair of eagles and their offspring. The lake water is crystal clear and we spent almost everyday fishing.

The house has two bedrooms each with a view of the lake. Perfect for sharing with another couple.

The only thing missing was a coffee table book with pictures of the construction of the home. We just keeping thinking how did he build such a remarkable home with no road access?

We are making this a part of our annual trip to the mountains. Maybe even again this year!

Great place to get away from it all. We stayed for 3 nights. Wished we had stayed a week!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is beautifully finished and equipped. It's only accessible by boat and there is a bit of a hike to the cabin, but it's also very private. The area is beautiful with many charming towns. We had a great time, but wish we had spent a full week to fully explore the area. Ted was very easy to work with, so if you plan a longer visit, I'm sure he'd be very helpful in determining how to make the most of your stay!

Fun, Relaxing and Very Private

  • 4 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. It is absolutely beautiful and very private. The landscapes and views are gorgeous from the wraparound outdoor decks. No A/C was no problem at all as it was cool enough with the windows open even though it rained a lot during the week we were there. We used the boat daily and had lots of fun trying to catch fish. The paddle board and kayaks were used a lot as well. We hiked a couple of times as some awesome trails are very close by. When it rained, we hung out and played games and cards. All in all a very positive experience and very relaxing!!

A Super Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to Cap'n Ted for a great week. He was a wonderful host greeting us at the dock and making us feel welcome at his home. Everything was as advertized. The house is well equipped and relaxing. The main deck was our favorite place most days. Having some happy hour snacks and adult beverages on the dock was pretty chill as well. The boat commute back and worth to the car was never a hassle - no more than 3 minutes. Great host, great house!

Beautiful eco-friendly property with amazing views!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days here for my father's 70th birthday and absolutely loved it! The house is amazing -- beautifully decorated with high-end amenities, a 180 degree porch, fireplaces inside and out ... plus BONGOS! :) The lake has desolate views and minimal-to-no traffic, so its great to enjoy kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and the pontoon boat. Our host Ted was responsive to issues and helpful throughout the process. We will definitely be back!

Note: If you're traveling with anyone with limited mobility (seniors, small children, etc.) be aware that getting to and from the house involves both a boat and a Gator Utility Vehicle! We thought it added to the charm and adventure of the experience, but it may not be for everyone.
