Ten years ago, we bought the apartment next door, so we couldn't resist taking over this apartment, too and have just finished renovating it.
Barcelona is such a great city! We both visited Barcelona before we met and had an instant love affair with the city and its people. We wanted to buy an apartment which we could use to explore Barcelona and experience the sights, sounds and aromas that make Barcelona such a great place to visit. There is no place so emblematic than Barcelona's Gothic Quarter and this apartment gives us the comfort of home within walking distance to all the sights in the historic part of the city.
We love strolling over to the famous Ramblas and visiting the incredible La Boqueria market which recently celebrated its 150th anniversary - unique in all of Europe. Some of our favorite restaurants are just minutes away by foot or taxi. We love walking along the boardwalk on the Barceloneta beach at sunset.
We loved the apartment, location and your beautiful city! Brad and Rachel were very professional and accommodating. We would certainly stay again.
The staff met us and was very helpful in getting us settled. We loved it!
My wife and two adult children just spent a week in the apartment. I was impressed with the owner's quick responses to all emails. She provided information about the rental, neighborhood and arranged for transportation to/from the airport. The property manager promptly checked us in, showed us how the equipment worked and offered to assist with any problems (we had none). We found the listing accurately described the unit. The apartment is clean, nicely decorated and well furnished. While the bedrooms were fairly small, but the beds were very comfortable. Robes and plenty of good quality towels were supplied. The kitchen was basic, but well supplied. Shops were nearby for food/drinks. As noted in some reviews, the master bedroom is subject to occasional street noise - but duel doors to the balconies reduce the noise. Earplugs may be a good idea for light sleepers. While there is a small bar below, we found the noise was mostly from people passing by. The bar below the unit was small, closed at a reasonable hour, and was pretty quiet. We actually enjoyed the quaint bar and the barman - Boris. A highlight of our vacation was listening to acoustic guitar and a folk songs in the bar one evening (not loud and not late). The location is great - close to bars/tapas, the historic sites of the Gothic area and within walking distance to the beach. We were very satisfied with the apartment and would recommend it.
Our family of four stayed her for a week. The kids each had their own room. Really well situated for getting to everything you want. The manager was excellent at arranging all transportation and helping with anything you need. All of the appliances were great(run the washer once before you put your first load in) including the dryer, and wonderful showers. The bar downstairs can be a little loud, but after spend a day and night in Barcelona, you understand that this is a quieter place than others.
pleasant apartment with most amenities.
gothic quarter is lovely.
only one fan in the whole flat .
two ancient air cons that don't work ... august in barcelona !!! absolutely vile -- couldn't wait to leave .
paying a high rent and suffering with this heat is certainly not luxurious --
not providing cooling at this rent is downright stingy !
might be ok in winter __ heating ?? but summer is insufferable.
We had a fantastic stay at this apartment. We have 2 teenage daughters and it was wonderful for each to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The property manager was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction of restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries. The apartment was wonderfully appointed, with nice appliances, toiletries and finishes. It was also perfectly located within walking distance to everything - the market, great restaurants, the beach and public transportation. As discussed in other reviews, the bar downstairs does get loud for the occupants of the master bedroom - earplugs took care of that problem. I would highly recommend this property! Thank you for a fantastic stay in your beautiful city.
We are a couple with a six-year old daughter. This place was terrific in all respects. Highly recommended. Very comfy beds, all amenities were great. Location is perfect, easy walking to beach, Picasso Museum, old town, markets, etc., etc. Lots of great restaurants in neighborhood. The apt was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. The noise from the streets was easy to cancel out by closing windows and turning on AC. We have rented many places - this was one of the best. We would certainly return.
Barcelona Acquarium nearby. Private guided tours of Barcelona can be arranged on request. Bicycle rental and tours. Sedgway tours. Boating and Hot Air Ballooning. Visits to vineyards can be arranged.
