Lahaina Shores was voted best Resort on Maui. I have lived in so many condos and homes in West Maui that I have a check list of my preferences. Fast elevators, concrete structure and 24 hour front desk.
We always got a good response from clients that stayed in this building and they come back to Lahaina Shores.
The management company did a wonderful upgrade of the lobby and grounds.
You could stay here and not need a car. It is walking distance from our house.

Incredible consistent weather , year round.
I lived in many areas of West Maui and I decided that the lushness of Kapalua and Napili did not suit me. I like reliable weather to BBQ or garden in and the calmness of the ocean in historic Lahaina.
Even in Kaanapali and Honokowai I missed the history and charm of downtown Lahaina.

Only spent the two nights here, but it was wonderful! What a treat, to just leave the car parked there, and wander into town. Alysha (spelling??) at reception was just great! We had been in Kihei for a while, so we actually arrived at LS very early. 8:30 actually! But not a problem with the friendly staff here. We put our luggage in storage there, parked the car underground, and then walked into town.
We didn't get up to our room until much later, as we were busy in town, and then had a sunset sail. But when we did get up to our room, I was just delighted. I have rented a lot of condos while vacationing on Maui, but this was the first time there were lei on the counter for us! And not just a lei for each of us, but a fresh pineapple as well. And coffee too! And a copy of the newspaper.
I found the most comfortable chair in the place out on the lanai. Didn't sit in very long though, as we had so much to see and do during our limited time in West Maui.
The kitchen is quite small, and no dishwasher, but that was just fine with us. We only boiled water for tea anyway! But there was a pineapple cutter in the drawer, and that was another first, for any condo I have stayed in. So very handy!
The studio has a very new couch and chair, purchased just a month ago. The murphy bed was down, thank goodness. And no need to put it up either, as there is still plenty of room with the bed down. Very comfy. My daughter actually preferred this bed to the one we had at the condo in Kihei.
Central air conditioning too. If you open the door to the lanai, it does turn off automatically though.
Mac computer in the room too. Daughter liked that too!
Lots of different soaps and shampoos in the bathroom. And lots of towels too. Even beach towels!
The closet had lots of "toys" as well. Boogie board, fins, and snorkel gear. And beach chairs, including one of those wonderful Tommy Bahama chairs. That chair was the only thing in the closet that I did use, and it was wonderful, even just for the one day.
Three elevators in the building, and they were fast. We never had to wait very long at all, regardless of the time of day.
While we didn't get the beautiful view of the ocean and the sunset, I would stay here again, in a heartbeat!
I had a really great stay at Lahaina Shores, and in Maui, thanks to this great condo. We knew that we had made the right choice when we were presented with beautiful leis the day we arrived, from our gracious host! The hotel itself is in a great location, just at the edge of the main downtown Lahaina area on Front St, and directly on the water. There is a nice mountain view from the lanai. The unit itself comes complete with a pretty comfy bed, microwave, coffee maker, and all the beach equipment you could need (4 chairs, towels, a boogey board, an umbrella, and fins and snorkel masks). The hotel has a nice pool area, and the front desk staff were terrific. The owner of the unit was so helpful during the reservation process, and provided some helpful area tips. I would stay here again!
One minor warning: the hair dryer is pretty weak, so if that's a concern, you might want to bring your own!
Robin & Barry are the most amazing hosts. We've stayed at this resort 3 times, this was by far the most personal experience we have enjoyed at Lahaina Shores. Our hosts provided fresh fruit & replenished paper products & towels during our 3 week stay. The unit was clean, quiet & well stocked. We love the mountain side because we can enjoy the lanai all day! On the ocean side we found the lanai to be too hot to enjoy in the afternoon. We loved using the beach umbrella and beach chairs that were provided. This location is the best in Maui. We were within walking distance to downtown Lahaina for shopping, eating, and to the harbor for whale watching & dinner cruises. We purchased monthly bus passes for only $25 (55 plus) and enjoyed all parts of Maui by just hopping on the bus located right next to the resort. This was by far the best value of our 5 trips to the beautiful island go Maui!
Barry and Robin were wonderful hosts. The studio apartment had a great view of the mountains and was located directly in front of one of our favorite beaches in Lahaina. There were restaurants and coffee shops close by and we loved the seeing the sunrise from the balcony in the morning. We will definitely be coming back soon!
This was a fantastic spot in Maui! We were able to walk to the beach and enjoy the sun. The view was beautiful and the unit even had a balcony, where you could enjoy the sunset.Thank you Robin and Barry for making our time in Maui memorable and providing us with everything we needed for the beach.
We highly recommend this condo and cannot wait to come back again!
Nicely equipped condo. 5 minute walk to the centre of Lahaina. Everything you could ask for.
Would definitely stay again!
