This beautiful mid century ranch home, custom built in 1955 on a .25 acre lot, is located in the quiet and serene Taquitz River Estates. This area features some of the earliest custom homes and largest lots that were developed in early Palm Springs. The home is very private – surrounded by lush walls of hedges. Entry to the home is through an electric gate from the street or a secured entry gate leading to the front courtyard.
The open living/dining area is accessible through French doors to the front yard with desert landscaping with an additional covered seating area and through 2 sets of double French doors to the patio/terrace and large landscaped backyard. The focal point of this living space is a floor to ceiling double-sided brick fireplace with glass flames. This area includes seating and dining areas, large flat screen wall mounted TV, Wi-fi , and a music system wired throughout the home.
The house is newly furnished like your own home with a stylish glass/Lucite dining table, mid century seating and attention to detail. It is comfortable and inviting.
The kitchen is updated and modern with spacious cabinets and Caesar stone counters. It is fully equipped with beautiful new glassware, china, serving dishes and platters, new gourmet cookware and all the items that you prefer in your own home.
The bedrooms are all private and in separate areas of the home. The master bedroom has a walk in closet, bath with shower over tub and French doors which open and overlook the back yard and pool. The second bedroom, accessed through the hall , has French doors to the side desert yard, a full wall of closet space and an adjacent bath with an open rain shower design. This bedroom/bath offers additional privacy from the rest of the home.
The third bedroom is adjacent to the kitchen, with French doors to the front desert landscaping and a small but functional bathroom with a toilet and shower. This bath also provides access to the back yard and can be used from the terrace/pool area.
Each bedroom has new high-end linens, plush towels, pool towels and all the requisite comforts for your stay.
The seamless indoor/outdoor flow continues to a large lattice covered terrace with seating and dining areas overlooking the huge pool- over eight feet deep. The rear yard contains custom patio furniture, beautiful lounge chairs, seating areas with umbrellas, a covered cabana, BBQ, and a large grass area with total privacy.
On warmer days, the misting system surrounds the terrace and dining areas for your comfort. In the evening, the landscape and the pool lighting create a casual resort feel for enjoying the beautiful desert evenings.
The south facing yard, pool and large in ground spa provide the backdrop to spectacular/mesmerizing mountain views as well as the hundreds of palm trees the city is known for. This property is a stunning example of how to live in Palm Springs.
At Casa Vista you will be greeted by our local host who will provide you with a tour of our home and will familiarize you with our property.
In many vacation rentals you'll find the garage to be "off limits" and others that do not stock paper products, soaps , detergents and propane for the BBQ. Not so at Casa Vista. Our goal is to provide our guests with the best possible vacation experience.
The home is conveniently located 5-10 minutes from the airport. It is a short walk/or drive to downtown shops and restaurants as well as all the world class Palm Springs area activities.
The property is within walking distance to the Palm Canyon stop for the "BUZZ", the popular FREE trolley service linking the property to/from downtown Palm Springs. The service operates every Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 1:00 am at 15 minute intervals.
Rarely is a home of this comfort and quality available as a rental.
This home is available on minimum stay of 4 days. Additional days are prorated on a per day weekly basis.
There is a $200.00 cleaning fee and an optional fee of $50.00 per day to heat the pool in the cold months.

Our neighborhood was developed in the 1950's with many interesting homes and properties. Our home is a traditional ranch home. All rooms open to the outdoors and the large terrace is an extension of the home... easy, sunny, living in the desert. The home has been carefully furnished as an elegant and tasteful residence with all the high end linens, kitchenware, and soft goods that you would appreciate it your own home. This is your second home in the desert...enjoy the privacy and relaxation...
Our home is most comfortable for 3 couples. There are sleeping accommodations for six. We request that total daytime residents/guests be limited to 10 persons. All sleeping areas are separated and private. There are stunning mountain views from the front and back yards. The property is secluded and quiet. Palm Springs strictly enforces the noise ordinance and we request that you are respective of the ordinance (tot 6084).
We spent Thanksgiving at this house and found everything we needed to cook a great dinner. It has a beautiful pool and jacuzzi and is within easy walking distance of downtown and restaurants. My only criticism is that, while it's perfect for two couples and two kids, the third bedroom, which is off of the garage is not really a great room for a couple, but is great for kids. While I think that should be clarified, it's a very minor complaint. We had a great time.
My family and parents had a nice stay in this well kept property in a quiet neighborhood. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which has great privacy from the street around it. Easy drive or bike ride into downtown palm springs and a very short walk to South Palm Springs for places like the Ace Hotel. The house was very well stocked and supplied. Property owner and managers very responsive. Would definitely rent again.
We had a great time here and are already planning when we can return! The house is elegant but comfortable and probably the best equipped we have ever stayed in. The pool is a delight, so good to be able to swim rather than just cool off. Situated in a quiet residential area, but with easy access to all the delights of Palm Springs. Communication was good throughout the whole process. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this property is because if too many people know about it, we might not be able to rebook! No, seriously, a great place and recommended without any reservation
This is an amazing vacation rental. We have rented many vrbo properties and we have owned and rented out 2 of our own - so I can tell you this home is all that it says and more! It is well maintained, clean, beautifully decorated and abundantly supplied. Muchael, the owner, is warm, attentive, pleasant and accommodating. The manager, David, is nearby and takes wonderful care of the property. The home is packed with high quality essentials, including luxurious sheets, and abundant amounts of plush towels. The front, side and back yards are beautifully landscaped, well maintained and furnished with high quality outdoor furniture.
The pool is huge, spotless and crystal clear. And ofcourse the location is close to everything in Palm Springs!
We've been here 4 times and have already booked our next two stays!!
My wife, and young daughter had a great trip. House was just the right size for us, very well maintained, everything worked great. Nice location, very close (just a short drive) to downtown Palm Springs. We spent most of our time relaxing in the beautiful pool - the mountain backdrop is awesome. We had a splendid vacation staying at this home. It is
bright, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The numerous sets of french doors that open to the yard and pool expanded the spacoius feeling of the house even more. Lovely landscaping and outdoor lighting enhance the exterior. The owners are attentive and easy to reach. AAA+++, highly recommended.
In a beautiful residential area just minutes by car or a leisurely walk to downtown Palm Springs. World class restaurants, coffee houses, boutiques, and consignment stores. Walking distance to El Mirasol, Koffi, neighborhood restaurants, convenience stores and 5 minutes by car to the local supermarket, Jensen's - a luxury supermarket, and all services.
