Your Personal Second Home In The Desert Located Near Downtown Palm Springs
This beautiful mid century ranch home, custom built in 1955 on a .25 acre lot, is located in the quiet and serene Taquitz River Estates near downtown Palm Springs. This area features some of the earliest custom homes and largest lots that were developed in early Palm Springs. The home is very private – surrounded by lush walls of hedges. Entry to the home is through an electric gate from the street or a secured entry gate leading to the front courtyard.
The open living/dining area is accessible through French doors to the front yard with desert landscaping with an additional covered seating area and through 2 sets of double French doors to the patio/terrace and large landscaped backyard. The focal point of this living space is a floor to ceiling double-sided brick fireplace with glass flames. This area includes seating and dining areas, large flat screen wall mounted TV, Wi-fi , and a music system wired throughout the home.
The house is nicely furnished like your own home with a stylish glass/Lucite dining table, mid century seating and attention to detail. It is comfortable and inviting.
The kitchen is updated and modern with spacious cabinets and Caesar stone counters. The stainless steel refrigerator, micro-wave oven and gas range with convection oven were purchased in October, 2017. The kitchen is fully equipped with beautiful glassware, china, serving dishes and platters, gourmet cookware and all the items that you prefer in your own home.
The bedrooms are all private and in separate areas of the home. The master bedroom has a walk in closet, bath with shower over tub and French doors which open and overlook the back yard and pool. The second bedroom, accessed through the hall , has French doors to the side desert yard, a full wall of closet space and an adjacent bath with an open rain shower design. This bedroom/bath offers additional privacy from the rest of the home.
The third bedroom is adjacent to the kitchen, with French doors to the front desert landscaping and a small but functional bathroom with a toilet and shower. This bath also provides access to the back yard and can be used from the terrace/pool area.
Each bedroom has new high-end linens, plush towels, pool towels and all the requisite comforts for your stay.
The seamless indoor/outdoor flow continues to a large lattice covered terrace with seating and dining areas overlooking the huge pool- over eight feet deep. The rear yard contains custom patio furniture, beautiful lounge chairs, seating areas with umbrellas, a covered cabana, BBQ, and a large grass area with total privacy.
The south facing yard, pool and large in ground spa provide the backdrop to spectacular/mesmerizing mountain views as well as the hundreds of palm trees the city is known for. This property is a stunning example of how to live in Palm Springs.
At Casa Vista you will be greeted by our local host who will provide you with a tour of our home and will familiarize you with our property.
In many vacation rentals you'll find the garage to be "off limits" and others that do not stock paper products, soaps , detergents and propane for the BBQ. Not so at Casa Vista. Our goal is to provide our guests with the best possible vacation experience.
The home is conveniently located 5-10 minutes from the airport. It is a short walk/or drive to downtown shops and restaurants as well as all the world class Palm Springs area activities.
The property is within walking distance to the Palm Canyon stop for the "BUZZ", the popular FREE trolley service linking the property to/from downtown Palm Springs. The service operates every Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 1:00 am at 15 minute intervals.
Rarely is a home of this comfort and quality available as a rental.
This home is available on minimum stay of 3 days. Additional days are prorated on a per day/ weekly basis.
There is a $200.00 cleaning fee and an optional fee of $50.00 per day to heat the pool in the cold months.
CANCELLATIONS - A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full rental amount excluding security deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel ninety (90) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least sixty (60) days prior to check-in.
Our cancellation policy is not over written by VRBO policies and cannot be changed unless approved in writing.

What makes this House unique
Our home is most comfortable for 3 couples. There are sleeping accommodations for six. We request that total daytime residents/guests be limited to 10 persons. All sleeping areas are separated and private. There are stunning mountain views from the front and back yards. The property is secluded and quiet. Palm Springs strictly enforces the noise ordinance and we request that you are respective of the ordinance (tot 6084).

not too big not too small beautiful pool and hot tub updated home
Great location and huge pool. We rent in Palm springs/desert all the time and I am always looking for a larger pool. This is the largest and if it's any bigger it would have an island. The house Has all the conveniences and michael the owner is very nice and helpful. His property manager was very thorough and made sure all our questions were answered. House is clean and has all the amenities you would need. we would stay here again and good restaurants within walking distance with the Palm Springs strip within a mile.
Very private - beautiful property.
We stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend and found the property to be very nice. The floor plan of the house was nice because each of the 3 bedrooms had their own bathrooms. All the linens and bedding were very nice and comfortable. The best part for us was the lovely landscaping. The back yard is resort-like and very well maintained. We spent most of our time outside which really felt private. The mountains provide a stunning view to look at while relaxing by the pool all day. Extra care has been taken by the owners to make the property better than most rentals. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Great location, perfectly equipped property
Owners very responsive and the on location manager helpful when needed. Great property for a family vacation, the house has everything needed. Well equipped kitchen and the outdoor life is lovely with the terrace, pool and spa.
Great location; well stocked kitchen
We spent Thanksgiving at this house and found everything we needed to cook a great dinner. It has a beautiful pool and jacuzzi and is within easy walking distance of downtown and restaurants. My only criticism is that, while it's perfect for two couples and two kids, the third bedroom, which is off of the garage is not really a great room for a couple, but is great for kids. While I think that should be clarified, it's a very minor complaint. We had a great time.
Nice stay in a great rental
My family and parents had a nice stay in this well kept property in a quiet neighborhood. We spent a lot of time in the pool, which has great privacy from the street around it. Easy drive or bike ride into downtown palm springs and a very short walk to South Palm Springs for places like the Ace Hotel. The house was very well stocked and supplied. Property owner and managers very responsive. Would definitely rent again.
In a beautiful residential area just minutes by car or a leisurely walk to downtown Palm Springs. World class restaurants, coffee houses, boutiques, and consignment stores. Walking distance to El Mirasol, Koffi, neighborhood restaurants, convenience stores and 5 minutes by car to the local supermarket, Jensen's - a luxury supermarket, and all services.

Please note that there is a supplemental air conditioning fee of $25.00 per day (summer only). City tax of 11.5% of the total rental rate, cleaning fee, pet fee and pool heat.
