We have owned this home since 1996. We lived there for 15 years (our daughter was only a year old when we moved in 21 years ago) and still use it as our second home in SF. It is our urban family home. We remodeled the place over the years and know every bone in this flat. When you do send in a request, please tell us about yourself. We like to know who our guests are. You do not want to be just a name, we like to know if you are coming for business or vacation and from where. How many people and if there are any children if a family vacation. When you get there, you will also feel like it is your vacation home as we have organized and furnished it to make you feel at home. When you arrive, you are WELCOME HOME!!

In this traditional Victorian home you will have access to four bedrooms adjacent to two bathrooms, and a half bath in the living area.
The apartment is a grand 2-level top floor Victorian Condominium residence which offers the best of historic Victorian charm with the best of contemporary modern City living. Home features an ideal floor plan, with 4 bedrooms on one level and a grand open living/kitchen and dining on the upper level.
Each bedroom features ample closet space and a queen size bed. Two of the bedrooms have access to a quiet private deck overlooking a garden and share one bathroom. the third bedroom has access to a private bathroom. The apartment overlooks the verdant Panhandle of Golden Gate Park. Top floor features a stunning Great Room that's ideal for dining and entertaining, or simply lounging at home. This house-like residence enjoys grand space in NOPA, one of San Francisco's premier neighborhoods. This is a two unit building with a family living on the ground floor condominium and using the backyard on the gound floor. The family has been living there since 1996. Location is across the street from the Golden Gate park with its bicycle and pedestrian paths, and steps to fine restaurants such as Bistro Central Parc on Grove and Central, Nopalito, NOPA, and grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Falleti Foods, and Bi Rite Market on Divisadero Street. We are within walking distance of the Academy of Sciences, the De Young Museum of Arts, the Conservatory of Flowers, the Japanese garden, the Botanical Garden, and Alamo Square with views of downtown San Francisco and the famous painted ladies. Additionally, do no miss the Haight and Ashbury district where the 1960s still thrive.
While you may choose to rent a car, it is not a necessity with seven bus line that will take you to Union Square, the Marina and Ocean Beach. However, you will be inspired to see San Francisco by foot once you start exploring the Golden Gate Park.

We are in the heart of the city and are easily accessible by public transportation, with 7 bus lines taking you directly in the heart of the San Francisco financial district. If you do rent a car, we can also ease the stress of parking that you can encounter in a city like San Francisco as there is ample street parking.
Your Hosts are multilingual (we speak English, French, Spanish, we understand basic Italian and Portuguese). We are longtime residents of the City and can also help you plan your trip around California. We are well traveled and offer the best of what we have experienced in our journeys thoughout Europe, the US, South America, and Asia

We have lived in San Francisco over 20 years. We are native French speakers. We have traveled all over the world and recently lived in Buenos Aires for one year. We have one daughter. We speak French and Spanish fluently, and can understand Italian. We currently live two blocks from the subject property.
Claude Belliot purchased this condo in 1996
We lived in the subject property for 15 years until we built our current home a couple of blocks away. We remodeled the subject property from scratch 17 years ago and we maintain an office on the premises. It is our second home away from home.
We love this home and so does our daughter. She hopes that one day she will live there. She grew up in this home. We love the airiness, the large living area where we have spent many years entertaining our friends.
We were thrilled with this place from the moment we arrived. It is really special. The perfect combination of character, comfort and casual elegance. A beautifully remodeled Victorian, the house has a great floor plan. All bedrooms are on the second floor -- two at each end of a long hallway with doors that create the sense of two separate wings. Each bedroom is charming and unique, furnished with pretty linens, furniture and accessories. The main living area is on the top floor, offering both great views and privacy. There's even a cozy little deck so you can sit outside. It's located in an up and coming area, right by Golden Gate Park, good restaurants and Hayes Valley shopping. In the midst of things yet very quiet. There's even on-street parking! In San Francisco! Jacques met me at the door and showed me around. He and Claude live right down the street and are very gracious hosts. Jacques is a chef so the kitchen is beautiful and very well-stocked. I hated to leave, honestly. Highly recommended!
This property is roomy, well kept and beautifully appointed. It had everything we needed and the hosts couldn't have been nicer!
The house was beautiful and in a great area right next to Golden Gate Park. The house was perfectly appointed high end finishes and just a great welcoming place to stay. Only draw back was we didn't know till after we selected our rooms how loud the traffic is right off the front bedroom. Traffic woke you up early.
Overall would definitely rent from Claude again, just not use that front bedroom unless extremely sound sleeper.

We were a group of six, four adults and two teenagers, needing four bedrooms, and common areas to hang out in. Claude's house was perfect. Check-in was super easy, with Renato here to meet us and talk us through the space. Great supermarket (Lucky's) two blocks away, with a Starbucks on the corner, and just a couple of blocks across from the Haight. We uber-ed everywhere so didn't rely on public transport to/from the house (it was about 20-30 minutes to get to the Wharf, 20 minutes to get to Union Square). The house has good mojo, with the "do not dos" kept to a sensible minimum. Claude checked in to say hi via email during our stay, which was a nice touch. We had a great stay. You'll enjoy the house.
This home is located across the panhandle of the Golden Gate Park within walking distance of the California Academy of Sciences which hosts the aquarium and the green roof, the De Young Museum, the Conservatory of Flowers, the Japanese Garden, and San Francisco Botanical Gardens. The area is vibrant with Stow Lake where you can rent pedal boats and canoes or rent bikes to explore the park. All of the above are within a very pleasant 15 minute walk when you enter the heart of the park. Hop on your rental bike, cross the street and you immediate safely start biking on the well paved bike paths.
You are also within a long but pleasant 4 mile walk in the park leading to the bison/buffalos grounds and Ocean Beach. Don't miss the Haight Ashbury district, famous for the summer of love of the 1960s, Alamo Square Park showcasing the famous Painted Ladies, not to be outdone by the hundreds of beautiful victorian homes in the area including the subject home.
