Perfect in every way
Naso di legno is an exceptional apartment right in the heart of Ferrara it is central to everything :a restaurant or trattoria ,very good public transport ,and supermarkets just 3 minuits walk from the front door.Bruno and Paola made our stay here flawless we didn't have to worry about a thing ,Bruno picked us up at the train station and arranged all our permits and parking for the hire car we got to explore the local area and in addition they stocked our fridge and cupboards with everything we needed for the first few days ..brilliant touch all we had to do was chill. The apartment itself is very large very comfortable and has everything you will need ,they have thought of eveything and we have never seen an apartment so well appointed it has all the things you would have in your own home right down to the spices and in addition tv in your own language. This is a perfect place to base yourself for a few weeks as it is less than an hour to Venice, Bologna or Verona on the train and if you get a car a day trip will take you to so much that you will just not see on an organised tour you can cover a lot of the iconic parts of Italy from here.....thank you so much Bruno and Paola
Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean. Superbly equipped kitchen. Close to city center. Bruno is a great host. Welcome pack excellent.
MOLTO BELLO! WONDERFUL! BRILLIANT!
The apartment at Naso di Legno is stunningly lovely, professionally designed and equipped with stylish and comfortable furniture. Kitchen appliances, cookware and utensils are first quality making it very easy to prepare any meal and serve with nicely matching cutlery, china and glassware Bruno and Paola have seen to every detail providing the essentials for a welcoming stay. From table linens to the spacious closet areas complete with matching, substantial clothes hangers every aspect of the apartment is very well executed The beds are very comfortable and the entire apartment is scrupulously clean. Washing machine, ironing board and iron are provided as well as the vacuum or broom for tidying up. We stayed 10 days based on past reviews and were delighted... we really felt at home. The rooftop terrace is the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening visit Bicycles are available for free. Bruno and Paola are perfect hosts with extensive knowledge about their city, speaking excellent English. The location is wonderful for accessing all Renaissance and Medieval sites. Bruno assisted us with getting our luggage in and out and helped us situate the parking of the rental car in a safe, fenced secure lot at the monastery for only 4 euro per day. Good WiFi kept us up with business and was dependable and easy. The apartment and hosts and location are five stars in every way -- imagine a 2 million dollar brand new apartment decorated and furnished by Architectural Digest built into a 400 year old home on a quiet, winding medieval lane and you have the idea. Dear William and Ann,
we have been pleasantly impressed by your appreciation.
We are happy that your vacation in Ferrara was beautiful and also thanks to our comfortable apartment.
We too have been very lucky to meet you, you are kind, polite and curious people to learn about Italian history and culture.
It was a pleasure to meet you and we hope to meet you again
THE perfect location with THE perfect hosts
Naso di Legno is a modern flat in an ancient building just steps from the heart of Ferrara. The flat is spacious, modern and well equipped for short or long-term vacations. Even being in the heart of town the bedrooms and rooftop deck are as quiet as though you are in the countryside. The hosts Bruno and Paola speak multiple languages and they go above and beyond to assure your comfort and enjoyment during your visit. They are kind and generous people that we now consider to be friends as well. You could not do better for lodging in Ferrara.
Dear George and Linda,
YOUR STAY FOR 15 MONTHS in our apartment was a great pleasure for us.
You have been excellent guests and fantastic neighbors.
For us it was an excellent opportunity to have new and excellent friends.
Thank you for your attention and friendship
Bruno and Paola
Another wonderful stay at Naso di Legno
This was our second stay at Naso di Legno and we enjoyed it even more than the first time. My husband and I just love Ferrara and can't really imagine staying anywhere else, the apartment is beautiful and so well equipped, everything works well and the furniture and fixtures are of a very high standard, the photos are a true representation. The location of the apartment is spot on, even though it is literally steps from the action, it is in a quiet and peaceful street where you can't hear a thing. Much appreciated was the fabulous fruit bowl which kept us going for a few breakfasts and also the Prosecco which we had on our last evening, also the larder is stocked with some very nice food if you wanted to eat in.
Getting to the apartment is very easy, there is a direct bus from the airport which costs €15 and stops just near the castle, then the apartment is close by. Bruno and Paola really are the loveliest hosts and live in the same building so can help you with any queries. Bruno picked us up from the bus stop and took us to the apartment and then to the train station when we left as we were travelling elsewhere. They also gave us a lovely present when we left which made it home in one piece - thank you Bruno and Paola!!
We did various trips out of Ferrara, Padova was beautiful and highly recommended, we did a one night stay in Venice which is around an hour away and did the Ferrari museums in Modena and Marinello, such a great day and Bruno printed our tickets for us. The train station is a good 30-40 minute walk from/to the centre and we could never fathom the buses, so if we were tired we got a taxi. The great thing is Ferrara is very close to Bologna Centrale and from there you can go anywhere, having said that, Ferrara itself is a true gem, in the 10 days we were there we hardly heard a single English or American accent, a bit different to Venice!! You really do feel like you're in a true Italian working city, a stunning one at that, we can't wait to return.
I really can't heap enough praise on this fabulous apartment and amazing city, do yourself a favour and go and stay at Naso di Legno!
Many thanks for the great review
It was a pleasure for us to have you again as our guest in our apartment and we are glad that you have spent some pleasant days in Ferrara.
We hope to see you again soon
Uccelli e mosaici from Ferrara
We can endorse all the comments below that say this apartment is even nicer than the photos show. We were very comfortable with lots of light and space and the ability to adjust the temperature inside as we wanted. The rooftop terrace was lovely in the early evenings and allowed us to watch the swifts flying just above the red tiled roofs and even to watch kestrels nesting in a monastery tower nearby (binoculars were required). We can endorse too just how nice, helpful and generous Bruno and Paola are as hosts. Ferrara was stunning. We didn't use the restaurants in Ferrara but can recommend You and Tea if you don't drink coffee and enjoy fine teas in a cool and relaxing environment, and Farina di Riso which makes utterly delicious gluten free versions of the local delicacies. We enjoyed great visits to Ravenna, Chioggia and Comacchio while the bird life in the lagoons and on the lakes at Argenta was exceptional.
We are pleased to have been good hosts for you
thank you very much for the appreciation for the apartment and for the location of the house
It's always a pleasure to help our guests feel at home and enjoy their visit to our historic town.
It has been a pleasure to have you in our apartment.
Ferrara is in a strategic geographical position, near other cities of great historical and artistic interest: by train, Bologna is just twenty minutes away, Venice and Florence an hour, and Rome two hours and fifty minutes, while Mantua can be reached in an hour by car, and Ravenna in three quarters of an hour.
