Located right on the Roaring Fork River between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, this beautiful river retreat is the perfect place to base your Colorado get away.
This custom home is beautifully appointed and has a relaxed homey feeling. It sits on 2 acres of manicured lawn with trees and flowers. Relax in the hot tub or sit on the spacious deck where you can view the river, the many species of birds, the surrounding mountains, or watch the endless stars above at night. You'll be serenaded by the silvery sounds of the small stream that runs through the property and falls through three small ponds before cascading down a waterfall next to the deck.
Just one mile from Carbondale's cultural center, you can dine, shop, and enjoy the local night life. Only a half a block from the Roaring Fork Bike trail, where you can ride from Glenwood Springs to Aspen, or anywhere in between. You'll be located just 30 miles from Aspen's world renowned ski areas, shopping and night life. Just down the road, you'll find Ski Sunlight with its family friendly atmosphere. Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are also near by. Winter or summer, you can take a dip in the world famous Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. In the summer, endless opportunities for hiking and mountain biking await you in the area.
Out your back door is the Roaring Fork, a Gold Medal fishing river, and great rafting. A few miles away the Frying Pan River beckons with additional opportunities for Gold Medal fishing. The nearby Crystal River offers opportunities for fishing, rafting and family fun.
You couldn't find a nicer place for your family reunion, wedding gathering, or mountain vacation in Colorado.
We built this home in 1982 and lovingly turned it into the oasis it is today. It was remolded in 2007. We raised our two sons in this house and enjoy spending time with our boys and grandkids on the property. I know you too will enjoy your stay at 'Mia's Oasis'
Barbara Cyr purchased this house in 1982
Great for Families. The is lots of room both outside and inside. Its a wonderful place just to hang out and enjoy the house and large deck. Sometimes its hard to leave the property.
Thanks Barb for sharing your home and all of its beautiful surroundings with us. Had 3 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 12. Loved the layout of the main level, everyone within talking distance. Perfect for how we do games, toys, chatting and cooking all at the same time! The patio was my favorite: beautifully landscaped yard, the sound of your water feature along with the Roaring Fork River, a hot cup of coffee or a glass of wine and a good book...simply was perfect. Hope we can spend time here again!
We stayed here for five nights and were completely wowed by the house. It was beautiful inside and out, and it's position on the river was spectacular. The various spaces were nice for spreading out our group when desired. Not that we used it, but the flat screen on the deck was a nice touch! We also really enjoyed taking the bikes out along the local paths. This was a perfect hub for our trip, and I very highly recommend it.
Thank You Barbara for the use of this beautiful home. Very clean and comfortable home that was loaded with everything you could possibly need. If you are looking for a place you can feel right at home with, this is the one for you. We BBQ'd on the deck that overlooks the river. We baked dinner in the oven. We watched TV on the deck. We road bikes along the river. Washed our clothes. Could not ask form a more comfortable getaway. The property is lush and manicured. we will be back!!!

We hope to be back next year, thank you Barb for sharing your home with us. Jim and Debbie
Near town but still nice and secluded in the back of the neighborhood. Backs up to a huge drop off and outstanding view of the river right behind the house! Great deck and hot tub to enjoy this view. The home was perfect for our family. We'll definitely be back!
Forgive the tardiness of this review. We rented Barb's house for the past two summers and we've reserved it already for 2016. This review is for our most recent 4 week visit in 2015 -- This lovely home exceeded our expectations. Highlights: Perfect location, short bike ride to the delightful town of Carbondale (restaurants, shops, yoga studios, art galleries, movie theater), 2 minutes from a great grocery store and from Highway 82, close to the RAFTA bus stop and the Rio Grande bicycle path (both of which run from Glenwood to Aspen). House is extremely well-equipped, fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals even baking, great outdoor grill, bicycles. Lovely outdoor patio with comfortable seating and dining areas for a large group, hot tub with terry cloth robes, beautiful garden. Luxurious sunlit master bedroom, walk in closet, and master bath with steam shower, hair dryer. Residential neighborhood is funky, in a good way. We can't wait to return!
Being on the Roaring Fork River our location is perfect for those who love to fish and raft.
We are also close to CRMS campus, a great spot to stay for Graduations.
