Our condo is on the 3rd floor (top) of the E building .it is on the corner which makes it very private with beautiful views of Moana Loa and Hualalai mountains. Kohala and Mona Kea mountains are also seen from our Lanai. In the winter months you can see the snow capped mountain top while sitting in the tropical heat on our Lanai, it is an exotic view. Our condo is light and airy with a large wrap around lanai on 2 sides, the perfect place for meals coffee or just sitting and relaxing in the tropical atmosphere. Our master bedroom has a cal king bed , flat screen tv and is decorated in island style furniture. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and again all the furniture is island style. Both bathrooms have new granite vanities . Our kitchen has been remodeled with granite bench tops , new French door refrigerator and freezer , new cook top and all the appliances you will need. Every room has a fan but the condo has AC as well . The lounge and indoor dining area is spacious we have a flat screen tv and Blu-ray player as well as a music system the decor is island and comfortable . The lanai has table and chairs for 6 people and 2 loungers for relaxing . Our condo has been refurbished with tile floors throughout to give it a clean , cool and island feel.
We live in New Zealand but since we have retired we try to spend some of our winter months in Hawaii to escape our cool NZ winters.
We have been vacationing here prior to that at the vista's with our family for the last 20years. We fell in love with the Big Island when we first visited in 1989 and especially with the Waikoloa Beach resort area. It has so much to offer for vacations . Our children and grand children still love coming here whenever they can .

We chose to buy at the Vista's because the area is so beautiful. The condo's are light and airy and very spacious with large lanais that are perfect to enjoy the tropical weather from. We love this complex, it feels welcoming and very safe. The grounds are always immaculate with beautiful flowering silk and plumeria trees. You are constantly walking and looking at a beautiful garden .
The complex has a wonderful pool and hot tub area as well as gym and bbq area. It is great to get together there and enjoy the outside. Our condo is on a corner, which gives more privacy and being on the top floor, beautiful views. The lanai is very large, and a wonderful place for meals with the family.
We've stayed at condos before, but this is the first one that didn't feel run down or on the verge of falling apart. The furniture was all sturdy, the linens were of better than expected quality, the amenities were amazing. Best of all, the view was beautiful. Eating breakfast on the lanai was a great way to start every day.
Lillian greeted us when we arrived, she was able to answer all of our questions and gave us recommendations that made our vacation memorable.
The ability to stay here and not go to a restaurant for every meal while on the island meant that we were able to do much more during our stay.
I recommend this condo if you are visiting the east coast of Hawaii.
We love the Big Island and Waikoloa Beach Resort. Having been at the resort many times, this was our 3rd time at the Vistas. We love the Vistas for their spaciousness, proximity to activities, and beautiful grounds. However, this unit far exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully decorated in island décor, comfortable beds, and well equipped kitchen. The shower designs are quite unique, too. Our favorite spot was the third level and very large balcony. The views were amazing - from Mauna Loa (snow-topped during our visit) to the blue waters of A'Bay. Spectacular. We will definitely check for availability on a future return. Thank you for making our visit one that tops our list!
What a nice experience! We have a lot of VRBO experience and this was our best experience with a landlord / manager by a wide margin. The property is maintained as if the owners live there and just stepped out for our rental. Everything is "owner" clean - no dust on the air ducts, kitchen pots and pans are fresh and high quality, ... Well done!
We obviously really like Vista Waikoloa since this was our 8th stay there and this condo was especially pleasant. The Vista is on the main road, so there can be a bit of traffic noise, but the location is excellent, complex well maintained, beautiful pool, exercise room and so easy to walk to beach, and shops. New grills too. Nice areas to get in fitness walks, runs also. Large wrap around lanais are nice feature.
Owners and their rep were super nice to work with, responsive immediately in all aspects of our communications.
The location of the "E" building is good, 3rd floor is our preference and this condo is very clean, lovely soothing atmosphere, updated counters, fixtures, flooring etc., easy to maintain and enjoy.
We liked cooking in most meals with bounty from the local Farmers Markets & Kawaihae fish market. Also the Farmers Markets have very nice prepared foods that are great to take back or eat right at the market. Tried the new restaurant, Pueo's in Waikoloa Village, excellent. Also two visits back to all time favorite Merrimans,in Waimea, it didn't disappoint, in fact seemed even more top notch. Cafe Pesto still very consistent and good. Drove the Saddle Road first time to Hilo, since it is now improved, great scenery. Also back to Kiholo Bay and Kolekole State Beach on Kamuela Coast.
Already looking forward to our next return.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the vista! The condo is very comfortable, well furnished and well maintained, has a great view and is well positioned near beach, shops and lovely restaurants. The waikoloa resort is well positioned to tour the whole island. The condo is managed by a friend of the owners who lives on the Island and is extremely helpful and available! We had a wonderful time and will be back.
The Big island has 11 of the worlds 13 climate zones, plus mountains over 13,000 ft - so everything is here!!
