Plan your next California adventure in this four-bedroom South Lake Tahoe vacation rental with a large enclosed yard, and all the comforts of home for up eight guests! The home is perfect for your next winter break vacation for the whole family, or even a lazy days summer reunion!

The location is ideal, just five miles to boating and floating on Lake Tahoe, three miles to boutiques, adventure sports stores, and fine dining in town, and four miles to shredding the slopes by snowboard or skis at Heavenly Mountain Resort.

The living room is inviting and spacious with vaulted ceilings, antique claw-foot furniture, and a window seat. Curl up on the couch and warm yourself by the gas fireplace, or break out the boardgames! Just off the living room is a large, formal dining room with a vintage wooden curio cabinet and oval dining table for six. The fully-equipped kitchen offers plenty of counter space and cabinets to serve a special turkey and cranberry feast, and the breakfast nook for two in the kitchen is perfect for families on the go!

Just off the kitchen is a second dining table with room for four, which serves as an informal meeting spot for planning the day's activities, or the setting for an after-dinner card game! Adjacent to the table is the family room with two cozy love seats, a flatscreen cable TV, DVD player, and CD Player and stereo with surround-sound capabilities. Snuggle up by the cozy fireplace or host a family movie night! Sliding glass doors off the family room lead to the patio.

This two-story home has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and one half bath sleep eight guests comfortably. Bedrooms are upstairs, including a master suite with a queen-size bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom is very spacious with a full-size bed and cable TV, while the third bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the fourth bedroom has another full bed. Extra amenities include WiFi to keep you plugged in and up-to-date with current affairs, and a washer and dryer to keep everyone comfortable and clean while exploring the outdoors!

Outside, enjoy an enormous enclosed back yard with a wooden deck, gas grill for barbecues, and patio furniture and plan the next day's adventures. And there's plenty of room for Fido to play, though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply.

The peaceful Pinewood Retreat includes one adult bike and two children's bikes to explore the neighborhoods of South Lake Tahoe. Rent a boat just minutes away at Tahoe Keys Marina Yacht Club, or tee off 10-minutes from home at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course. Drove 12 hours through traffic to find out "the furnace went out" 1 hour before my arrival. Was then placed in a much smaller condo, to which we arrived at 3AM, and the lockbox code wasn't working. My husband and our two kids slept in the car freezing for 3 hours! finally Vacasa called with a backup code. Definitely would do no stars If possible. If your aware that your home will be occupied by a family who has prepaid, you should at least make sure all things are functionally working before their arrival! Smh!

Terrible customer service! No heat in the house

We showed up and the house was 34 degrees! The heater was broken and they didn't fix it the entire 4 night stay. Their solution was space heaters and told us to look for a new place to stay! What?! Who does that. Then they never got back to us after the second day there. It's been two weeks now and I am trying to get a refund and they have said things like "we have not received your request". The downstairs never got above 50 degrees and all the showers are upstairs where it prob never reached 40. Vacasa has not been a pleasant company to deal with and I wouldn't recommend booking through them.

Nasty in regard to hygiene beside the heater not working whatsoever. Who lives like this?

I am not sure what type of people rent this place, my husband and I are college educated and have traveled the world. We come from Silicon Valley and neither the house and its inside met our expectations or the money we paid for it. My overall impression was a huge lack of hygiene, there were dirty bedsheets and towels on top of the washer, humid and smelly, the sofas needed a change as they are stained and very 90's, trash has not being picked up and the beds some of them had only the fitted sheets but not the flat sheets, they were over washed, therefore, they were rough. The heater was not working, it was disconnected and they knew; and they had left individual heater which will never heat up the entire home. I will never use this service again as I believe that they should have an inspector to check the house before placing them up for rent. My brother and my two nieces (5 and 7) were with me and the lady who answered our call was rude and did not offer any help. We had to move to a different place at 9:00 when finally someone called us from "Oregon" . Awful experience, I will not use it again.

Dog friendly, large house for a group of people not looking for anything fancy

Bedrooms were large and had adequate space for 8 of us plus a dog. Back yard is fenced in for the dog, although very snowy so we mostly went out front. The only shovel for the driveway was in the back yard in a snow bank, so if we hadn't gone out to look at the hot tub, we wouldn't have found it and it is a very useful amenity in the Tahoe winter. Also, the hot tub did not work, master toilet was clogged on arrival, the master bed headboard was not attached to the bed and hit the wall with the slightest movement, and the master bedroom door had no door knob - we emailed about the hot tub and toilet but received no response. Other than these flaws, the house was great for what we wanted - lots of space to hang out and play games. The trashcan had no bag in it but we used small grocery bags, but then could not take it to the bear locker like asked because it was not all contained in one large close-able bag. I would stay here again with friends, despite the cons. It was perfect size for us 4 couples and was great that everyone got their own room. With the extra toilet downstairs, we didn't really need the master toilet to work.

Dirty

It is a fine, well built house, but in sore need of TLC. I had to purchase cleaning materials to clean the sinks and tubs. The bath tub reaked of mold and had mold on most of the grout areas There were many pet urine stains on the carpet in the family room. My one year old niece's feet were FILTHY after walking on the carpet and floor areas for just a few minutes. The back yard was completely unkept; weeds were knee high in some spots, young trees were growing wild, and I wouldn't have put my foot in the hot tub because it was in disrepair and probably not sanitary enough given the condition of the bathrooms. The guest hand book was sticky and grimy. There were no specific directions regarding the 4 TV remotes, if it want for a tech savvy nephew, we would have been w/o TV. A prospective client came by to look at the house, you are lucky I didn't show her what she was getting into. I hope this will wake someone up and keep this place clean. I do have photos of the problems I have mentioned.
