About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

<br>

<br>

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wifes family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Quaint Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I rented this house as it could accommodate a large group since we were participating in the Rock Tahoe Half Marathon. The house had enough bedrooms for 8 people to stay, and was quite comfortable. It was situated a little bit off the main road and was ideal as it was close to many restaurants and groceries stores.

The only downside was that there happened to be heat wave that weekend, and as all the rooms are situated upstairs and the house does not have central air, it made it a bit stuffy and warm. But we understand that most houses in Tahoe do not need have central air because it doesn't get too hot for most of the year. Luckily it is quite pleasant to sleep with the windows open, and the outside air cooling down the unit.

We had a pleasant stay and will definitely book this place again in the future!

Spacious and dog friendly

  • 5 of 5

This was a great rental close to Heavenly. We primarily were looking for a dog friendly place, with a hot tub, and close of the ski lifts. This fit within our budget. It was a very large place with two dining rooms and two living rooms. Definitely for big groups. The bathrooms were dated, but functional. The hot tub was great except the temperature didn't seem accurate. It was scalding HOT! We had to cool it down with some icy cold water because it didn't seem to lower in temperature at all. That was the only hiccup for this great place. I would definitely recommend to furry dog owners and friends.

Sad

  • 1 of 5

Drove 12 hours through traffic to find out "the furnace went out" 1 hour before my arrival. Was then placed in a much smaller condo, to which we arrived at 3AM, and the lockbox code wasn't working. My husband and our two kids slept in the car freezing for 3 hours! finally Vacasa called with a backup code. Definitely would do no stars If possible. If your aware that your home will be occupied by a family who has prepaid, you should at least make sure all things are functionally working before their arrival! Smh!

Terrible customer service! No heat in the house

  • 1 of 5

We showed up and the house was 34 degrees! The heater was broken and they didn't fix it the entire 4 night stay. Their solution was space heaters and told us to look for a new place to stay! What?! Who does that. Then they never got back to us after the second day there. It's been two weeks now and I am trying to get a refund and they have said things like "we have not received your request". The downstairs never got above 50 degrees and all the showers are upstairs where it prob never reached 40. Vacasa has not been a pleasant company to deal with and I wouldn't recommend booking through them.
