Beautiful Property... Exceptional Views!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for four days and were amazed that a real working vineyard was just a few steps outside the door! The home itself is beautiful, spacious and clean, and a perfect space for the seven of us. We spent a couple of evenings grilling and relaxing underneath a beautiful starry sky...it was magical. The Dry Creek area is quite scenic with lots of great vineyards, and it's not as busy and commercialized as Napa Valley. A convenient distance away, the town of Healdsburg has a cool town square with restaurants and tasting rooms, but we enjoyed the property so much we didn't spend as much time in town. We would definitely stay here again - it was a wine country getaway we will never forget. What really set this place apart, though, was how well-equipped it was. We literally had all of the amenities we could imagine, and then some! Kitchen appliances, spices, condiments, games, movies, books, you name it -- it was there. We couldn't have been more thrilled. Dale and Debra were both very responsive when we had questions, responding immediately and in a very helpful manner. They were able to provide some wonderful recommendations for local restaurants and wineries, which was much appreciated. We also loved that we were able to bring our beloved dog with us.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay -- we'll be back for sure!

Great Weekend with Friends!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this stunning place for a wine tasting weekend with a group of friends and had the best time! The property is beautiful and has the most amazing views! The location was close to the wineries we wanted to visit in Healdsburg. The house is gorgeous and actually looks even better that the pictures! The kitchen is a dream to cook in, and the decks and patio area are beyond relaxing. All the rooms and bathrooms were fully equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed going to the wineries during the day and coming back to the house for dinner and drinks. We cooked many of our dinners outdoors and enjoyed our meals on the large patio overlooking the beautiful vineyard. The weather was perfect. While staying here for a few days, life couldn't have been better: good food, good wine, good friends, and the perfect house to enjoy it all.

Fabulous Weekend in Wine Country!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous long weekend at the Simpson Vineyard Estate. The outdoor space is amazing. Downtown Healdsburg was just minutes away driving through the gorgeous Dry Creek Valley amongst all the vineyards. The home itself is spacious, with a fantastic great room and a cozy fireplace. It was immaculate and fully stocked with anything you would need for your stay. The kitchen provided a wonderful place to prepare meals and enjoy each other as we cooked and ate together. We used Debra's recommendations for the markets, dinner spots, and coffee/bakery shops and all were excellent!! I highly recommend this location!

Amazing Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

ictures do not do this home justice. Our group consisted of four couples, reuniting from different parts of the country, for a wonderful holiday weekend. The grounds are breathtaking overlooking the vineyards, great outdoor space where we spent most of the time. Location was also perfect, very close to all of the vineyards and wineries we wanted to visit in the Dry Creek Valley. We had a wonderful time... this is a great place to have a fun and relax! The entire house was well-designed and well-appointed for comfort, relaxation, and enjoying time with friends or family. From breakfasts in the spacious kitchen to wine-filled nights on the deck staring at the starry skies, this was truly a fantastic experience. We enjoyed going to the wineries during the day and coming back to the house for dinner and drinks on the patio overlooking the vineyard. The property manager Debra was a pleasure to work with. Our stay was fantastic!

Beautiful house, terrible place to stay

  • 1 of 5

Giving credit where credit is due, I will start by saying that the house is beautiful and the land it sits on is glorious.

That all said, STAYING AT THIS HOUSE WAS A NIGHTMARE. There is literally zero cell reception anywhere on the grounds. If you have verizon, at&t or t-mobile you will have no reception during your entire stay. Forget about calling an uber, or contacting friends before you leave the house. It's impossible. Furthermore, the wireless internet at the house is really unreliable. It effectively doesn't work. If only one person tries to access it at a time, you get a page loaded every twenty seconds or so. You should basically anticipate not having cell or internet while you are in the house. Despite the fact that is promises both. When you get down to the main road your cell service will return.

Furthermore, the house cannot actually accommodate 8 people. Yes there are four beds, but there is not enough hot water to run both showers. And there is VERY low water pressure. We were a group of 7 people and we were never all able to shower on the same day. Which considering we were in town for awedding, was a huge problem on the day of the wedding when we all would have liked to have a proper shower. There just isn't enough hot water for more than about 30 minutes of use over an 8 hour stretch.

Moreover, the toilet paper in all the bathrooms is the absolute cheapest and worst kind. It's scratchy one-ply airline/ballpark TP that not only doesn't get the job done, but also literally hurts to use. We had to buy our own toilet paper in the end.

Additionally, the house rental carries a huge cleaning fee, but Debra requires that you clean the house top to bottom before departure or she will charge you an extra $300. This specifically includes doing laundry to wash all your sheets and towels, cleaning the inside of the stove and the fridge, and waiting for the dishwasher to finish so clean plates can be unloaded. The dishwasher takes 2 hours and 43 minutes to finish, btw, so make sure to build time into your departure schedule to wait for that. What is the cleaning fee for if we have to clean everything ourselves?

And lastly, when we arrived one of the beds was broken in half, totally unusable, and it took two days to have a replacement delivered. Debra insinuated that it was our fault and that we were offensive in asking for a new bed, and wanted us to wait around all day to accept delivery instead of taking care of it herself.

Secluded Relaxing Vineyard Estate Close to Healdsburg Town

  • 5 of 5

I invited my parents and my in-laws up here for the long weekend. We were seven in total, plus one dog. We all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this estate. The estate itself is expansive, and lends itself to long walks on the property and in the vineyard. There's a beautiful six person table with chairs outside, which is easily converted to an eight person table with the addition of a couple chairs.

It's clear that the owners took care in making this estate a comfortable and quality getaway. The beds are comfortable, as is the living room furniture. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped.

Also very important, Debra does a great job of managing the property and was very responsive throughout the reservation and booking process; her communications made me feel secure in my booking. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and would come again.
