About Tiffany Chiu

I reside in San Francisco, California, and over the past few years I have grown to love Tahoe . With the desire to enjoy Tahoe with friends and family, I found just what I had been day dreaming about… a large, open, communal Tahoe home in a peaceful Sierra setting. The location and the home are just the ingredients needed for me in creating the perfect Tahoe memories for years to come.

Please reach out anytime, I am happy to answer any questions at all!

Why Tiffany Chiu chose Tahoe City

I absolutely love Tahoe City and the West Shore! There is no other location for me on Lake Tahoe! Tahoe City is simply the perfect mix of Tahoe, with an abundance of mountain, lake, and river activities so incredibly accessible, and with such amazing Sierra and Lake Tahoe vistas. I also love how we have modern conveniences for grocery shopping and seasonal supplies, along with adorable cafes, restaurants, and bars set on the lake and river that provide iconic Lake Tahoe views!

What makes this house unique

From my perspective, the most cherished and unique moments are waking up to the silence of the Sierras, seeing nothing but beautiful forest through the large cathedral windows, brewing fresh coffee while waiting for the others to slowly rise one by one bringing this peaceful house to life. For the early risers, it is so incredible to walk to the trail head overlooking Lake Tahoe and watch the sunrise. It is beyond words how beautifully draped the brilliant colors of the sky are over Lake Tahoe. The experience is so pure and surreal to me each and every time.

In the winter, a morning snowshoe hike or cross country skiing run after a fresh snow is an amazing start to the day, or a full day excursion if planned well! Especially with the view of the cobalt blue lake against the white backdrop!

Now from the male perspective, I am told the unique benefits of the home are the great atmosphere for big games, with the 55” HD TV, the hot tub, the back deck with the grill, the spacious mud room for their snowboarding and ski equipment, and the foosball table.

For kids or all ages, they love the 'fun room' with their 4 bunk beds, with the parents loving that this room is distant from the other 4 bedrooms. Since the backyard is on the Greenbelt it is perfect for playing in the snow!

family Christmas together

  • 2 of 5

The cabin is in a great location. Close to everything. We found it in need of some TLC but the floor plan worked great for us. The fold out bed needs replaced.

One problem was that we weren't given the code for the keys to open the door. Had to contact the owner. I don't want to give more comments at this time because it would be unfair to the owner. It appears they may have a problem with someone breaking in when empty, The back door was left open. The hot tub was unlocked with no lock to lock up when we left and curtain rod and curtains were in the bathtub.. The day after we left, I got a picture from the owner of a broken window and a closet door off the track. She wanted to know what happened. We left the cabiin in good shape I'm sure they will get to the bottom of this. I am disappointed as I thought VRBO. Took better are of their clients. Both owners and renters!

Good for a large group

  • 3 of 5

This property is great for a large group. It does need a bit of TLC. The bedrooms have Jack and Jill bathrooms. Wonderful set up. It says it sleeps 14. Well, 13 is more like it and that is only if the loft mattress is replaced. The kitchen is well stocked but the floors throughout the house were dirty. The owner did remedy that with a partial cleaning refund. The windows need screens. You cannot open the windows in the evening due to the bugs. The hot tub was enjoyed by our group. The back deck was great to enjoy the outdoors on. We all enjoyed the large table for our evening dinners. All 14 that stayed at the house plus two guests were able to sit around it. The owner did respond quickly to our concerns. There are hiking trails close by and that is a plus.

Great family fun!

  • 5 of 5

The house is terrific! We were a family of 11--6 adults and 5 kids ages 2-12. The house easily accommodated all of us with room to spare. The beds were comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans etc. We loved that we could all fit around the dining room table to share a meal, play a game or just chat. The location is excellent. We were able to easily take advantage of many of the summer activities available in the area. Access to the HOA beach/play/BBQ area really added to the fun!

Although there were a few minor glitches they were resolved quickly. Communication with Tiffany was excellent! We appreciated how promptly she responded to our inquiries.

We're already talking about returning next year!

Great experience, would recommend to others!

  • 5 of 5

Overall, we really enjoyed this property as it has a true cabin feel. Our group of 11 adults had plenty of room to lounge around during the day and enough beds to accommodate us all at night. The rooms had fresh linens and towels. The house was fully stocked with utensils, cookware, toiletries, etc. The family room was great with a nice couch and large TV. The hot tub was also a great addition.

We've rented many vacation properties but working with Tiffany/Kate definitely set the bar high. They were very responsive from our first inquiry to the time we arrived. We had trouble locating a few items in the house when we arrived and they helped us navigate.

The only problems we faced were with the cleanliness not being up to par with the cleaning fee and the outdoor trash bin overflowing by the time we arrived. Other than that, we'd definitely return and recommend to others.

Great location!

  • 3 of 5

My family of 11 rented this property for 4 days. I hesitate to rate it w/ the stars because we found it to be between average and good. If you like rustic, then this is the place for you. Very sparsely furnished w/ only 2 tiny chests for 5 bedrooms. Upstairs window coverings were barely small pieces of material which did not shut out any light. Some windows were missing screens and some inoperable. Decks had no furniture at all making it difficult to enjoy outdoor spaces. Location is great, it was clean enough and kitchen was pretty well equipped. Bring your own foil and baggies. There are no games, books or videos as advertised. Really could use some tlc. Hot tub was a hit w/ everyone!
