About Carol Gove
In the 24 years that our family has enjoyed this home (fall and spring week-ends, winter skiing, and summer) there have been three major renovations in order to accommodate family and friends. I grew up in D.C. and thought I couldn't live without salt water, but found that I could do quite well. Harbor Springs is located four hours from my home in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, an easy drive up I-75.
Carol Gove purchased this House in 1989
Why Carol Gove chose West Traverse
Friends and guests always remark about how warm and friendly the house is. Open and very good for families, but also great for a couple or a single person.
What makes this House unique
View!!!! Large private backyard and front garden patio overlooking Little Traverse Bay. From the back yard one can look through the kitchen windows and through the front windows and see the lights of Pestoskey across the Bay.

A Gem Just Steps from Downtown Harbor Springs
My family of 6 really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, well-appointed home. Everyone slept comfortably and it was a plus to have an extra half bath on the second floor to accommodate the four adults who slept in the two bedrooms upstairs. It also helped to have a comfortable pull out sofa in one of the two living areas for an extra guest. This home is decorated beautifully, the only thing we missed was having a large dining area that could seat several people at once but we were able to spread out throughout the house the one time we had extended family over. The outdoor living areas were breathtaking, between the view of the bay from the front yard to the bountiful garden in the back, we spent a lot of time outdoors on this property during our stay. This home has great access to downtown Harbor Springs (a quick walk or drive) as well as road trips outside of the immediate area with just a quick turn our two in either direction. The rental process was easy, the homeowner was very responsive to our questions and was thorough with her arrival/departure instructions. We would definitely consider renting this gem again!
Thank you for you kind review. I'm so glad you all enjoyed your visit!
Harbor Springs Michigan is a small historic waterfront community. It is a very charming place without a commercial hotel although many visitors arrive by boat. It is located on Little Traverse Bay and offers magnificent views of the water and hills across the Bay to Petoskey. Skiing @ Nub's Nob or Boyne Highlands is 15 minutes away.
