Penn State Football Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Once again, a great stay. This is our second year back. And hopefully there will be many more. Our packing is made so much easier with your well stocked kitchen and that sheets and towels are provided. Thank you to you and your family Shannon. Your hospitality is much appreciated.

Fun family weekend

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for a family reunion. Plenty of beds for people to sleep. The kids and adults enjoyed exploring the old house. Pool table was a nice surprise. Large table in the dining room was perfect for buffet style dining.

Could use newer labels for light switches. Had to try every combo to figure out how to turn on main chandelier on 2nd floor. Also recommend recycling. Need more lighting for screened in porch.

Shannon was very responsive to our questions. Would stay here again!

Family Reunion in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5

Eleven total of us brothers, sisters and spouses spent 4 nights in this well-kept Victorian home in a very quiet and nice, friendly neighborhood in the Pennsylvania mountains. We were all very pleased with the comfort and spaciousness of this rental home.

The screened- in porch and huge backyard made it so nice to enjoy the outdoors, and we had nightly campfires on the back patio.

Everything we needed was provided and the home was clean and in good condition.

Stores and restaurants were a few quick miles away and we enjoyed an afternoon renting a pontoon boat at Bald Eagle State Park which was also nearby. The scenic views of the mountains from the lake were beautiful.

This rental helped make our family get-together a special time for all of us.

We would definitely recommend this home, especially for large family groups.

Plenty of room to get the whole family together

  • 4 of 5

We were a party of 17 extended family members. With 3 floors plus a basement, people could frequent the kitchen, dining room and parlor for meals, conversation, and games. We also were able to retreat to our bedrooms when needing some quiet or alone time. The property is equipped with central heating plus many space heaters so we could customize for our temperature requirements. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes and cookware, plus a good built-in dishwasher. We enjoyed the Victorian character of the house, with all its ornate decor, stairways, closets and passageways. Whenever I contacted the owners about a question or concern, they unfailingly, promptly and good-naturedly responded to me.
