I have vacationed in the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area and have family in the area. I absolutely fell in love with the area and particularly the people. I am active duty military, so I don't get to make it to the mountains as often as I'd like to. But, pleasing my guests is a very high priority of mine because I want them to have the same enjoyment and satisfaction I have whenever I stay in the mountains. The surrounding faith-based community is the most appealing facet that draws my attention to this area. I assure you the beauty and the peace I feel whenever I get to stay at this home is very unique.

The most unique and wonderful benefit of this cabin is the serene privacy that it provides. Whether it is relaxing in the jacuzzi, cuddling next to a warm fire in the fireplace, or enjoying the beautiful scenery on your private back porch... this cabin has it. It provides the perfect recipe to relax and enjoy the company you are with without the hustle and bustle of everyday stress.
We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Frankly Peaceful. You see, I'm basically a lazy man at heart, and for me to got to the wilds of the woods, and the mountains would take something astronomical to move me. Besides, for us it would be a 3 1/2 hour drive through treacherous roads of the Interstates and mountain backroads. Well, I went with trepidations and encountered some heavy traffic in Sevierville, which was no big deal, it was tourism at it's peak. I'm a beach lover, and encountering this traffic at the beach is OK. But, what's HERE??? In the WOODS??!! Also, finding the route to the cabin was a bit intimidating for a flat-lander beach bum. Up a network of winding roads, we finally reached our destination. We arrived to see a quaint little "log cabin" type house, located in a wooded area. It was eye awakening, for I noticed there were other cabins peppered around the area at a good distance apart from each other. So, we found the key in a "lock-box" on the porch, and I just happen to see a broom handy, so I swept some leaves that had fallen off the front porch. I unlocked the front door and what did I see? This beautiful setting of a kitchen, with everything that one could ever need! A dinette and living room fully furnished, and with a fireplace, two doors leading to the screened back porch with lounge furniture, and yes, TWO flat screen TVs, one in the bedroom and the other in the living room. As I stood looking out that back porch, God's creation suddenly seemed to explode with it's beauty right before my very eyes, with the sounds of nature that was music to our ears. We couldn't help but say, "WOW!!" Further exploration revealed a bedroom, with a beautiful queen size bed, that looked hand made, two bathrooms and a jacuzzi tub. "All this beauty in the middle of the woods?" I thought. We were ecstatic to say the least! We didn't need one thing except to show up...with groceries, of course. The next morning, I arose to God's lovely "show place." I made some coffee and had planned to read my Bible on the porch when, looking out, I was overwhelmed with joy, because it was like God was saying to me, "Happy Birthday, Rod." You see, the Thursday we were there was my birthday. I immediately went to my knees to thank Him for this gift of awesome natural beauty before me. Do we intend on coming back periodically and every chance we get? You betcha'! Would I do it again? In a "skinny minute!" I'll be calling to make another reservation SOON!!
The owner and property manager both were extremly nice and helpful. Cabin was very nice and clean. Pefect location, away from town but not to far and the drive up to the cabin is exactly what a flatlander is looking for. I would stay here again. Our stay was in November 2016, beautiful place.
We came to the cabin for our honeymoon. It was absolutely perfect! Cabin was so clean. It had everything that we needed in it! The enclosed hot tub was perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets. The drive to cabin was beautiful. The owner was very kind and gave great directions and made booking this cabin easy. We can't wait to come back to this cabin again in the future! We would highly recommend this cabin!!
This was a first time to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area for my husband, son, daughter and myself. My daughter turned 2 on the trip and we had her sleeping in her pack and play which was perfect in the master bedroom due to the huge space by the bathtub. My son was supposed to sleep on the pull out sofa, but was unfortunately inoperable due to fabric being separated by metal that offered zero head support. The first night he shared the bed with my husband and I, after an uncomfortable night, we just had him sleep on the couch. We also had problems with the glass top coffee table which is supposed to have suction cups to keep it secured. We ended up putting the glass on top of the dining room table so it didn't fall on our daughter- like it almost did the first night. The other issue was the dining chairs all need glued together. All items were reported to the owner who was unaware of the problems. I hope he is able to fix them because it is a quaint, quiet cabin that could be a great get away. The hot tub was the best part for all of us after a long day.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The cabin was clean and contained almost everything we needed for the stay. However, we were provided with a list showing the items that would not be provided that we may want to pack. We used a GPS to try to find the cabin at first but it was rather difficult to do so with it alone. The cabin owner was kind enough to provide us with traveling directions that allowed us to find the cabin with relative ease. Overall, our stay was very pleasant. We had a few minor issues. The log bed was a bit squeaky but it just may come with the build of that type of bed. The shower floor got a bit slippery while showering. A shower mat may be reccommended to avoid this. We have already decided that we would like to make another trip back to the Gatlinburg area and I would have no hesitation renting this cabin again.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We really liked the proximity to Pigeon Forge. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day running around.
We had an amazing time. My boyfriend and I went for our first anniversary and the cabin was perfect. We had just enough room for the two of us and it had everything we needed. The neighbors were far enough away that we still had our privacy but close enough if something went wrong. The whole experience was perfect and we would definitely go again in the future. My only suggestion is more hot water, I took a bath in the jacuzzi one night, after being gone all day, and ran out of hot water before I could get enough water and in the tub. I am under 5 feet tall, not a lot of water is needed. Other then that it was awesome, definitely a weekend I will never forget and everything in town was very easy to get to from our cabin.
