Kick back and enjoy our professionally decorated and freshly renovated 3 bedroom beach house. It is modern and chic, with a good bit of fun tongue-in-cheek too. Enjoy our eclectic and high end comfortable furnishings and art works.

Large living room with natural gas fireplace, view windows and french doors opening out to a generous deck and cabana. Stroll out onto the flat south-facing low bank private beach and ocean front. Use the extra large bar-b-que and cook in style!

The ocean view Master Bedroom has a new bed with top quality queen mattress, a 2 piece ensuite bathroom, and a large sliding door directly into the covered cabana with a daybed and hot tub.

Our cozy second bedroom also has a new queen bed, full bathroom directly across the hall, and the beach is close enough for you to be lulled asleep listening to the waves.

A very cute and separate water view bunk-house is just a few steps away from, but joined to the house by a raised deck. Carport and extra parking available on a quiet street. If you would like to arrive by boat, there is 'Port Stalashen Marina' at the end of our beach.

There is a large south facing deck,cabana,and brand new jetted hot tub all looking over the beautiful Salish Sea (Georgia Straight).

The exceptional ocean view and southern exposure has been maximized by this late sixties modern-designed west coast home. Extra large windows and doors open onto a generous and well appointed terrace and yard.

Our lot is flat and meets directly with the beach and ocean. With our 180* view you can see the city of Vancouver to the east, south to the gulf and San Juan islands and Vancouver Island to the west!

Perfect beach retreat

Spent 4 days at the beach house with my wife and two kids (4 and 11). It was the perfect place to recharge whilst entertaining the kids. The house itself is stunning and has everything you could possibly need for your break. Outside the views are equally as impressive. Hot tub over looking the sea, fire pit for s'mores and a bbq for burgers its a perfect retreat. Another bonus is the 2 sea kayaks that Martin allowed us to use!would 100% return here

Great beach getaway

Loved the location of the cabin and the eclectic style. The kitchen was well appointed and stocked with all kinds of unexpected goodies. Lots of blankets and pillows made the place cozy as we had a rainy weekend. My only complaint was check-out was at 11 am on Sunday and the cleaners arrived at the door promptly at 11 am to clean the place. I've rented a lot of places through VRBO but I've never had that happen before. Fortunately we were trying to catch the ferry (which we missed, reserve if you want a sure ride) but I still found that a bit much. Other than that, it was a beautiful place to relax with my family. Thanks.

I have been visiting the Sunshine Coast (with friends and family) several times a year for over 15 years. Always choosing the same favourite waterfront home. Last fall the owners returned from overseas and moved back in.

Having made so many happy, peaceful & fun memories there (and feeling like it was my home away from home) ,I was more than concerned that nothing would ever compare. Well, I have never been so happy to be WRONG!!! 😉 My niece (one of my regular Sunshine Coast sidekicks) and I just returned from a weekend of pure JOY and relaxation.

The home itself is an eclectic and charming oasis (with the perfect mix of modern amenities and old school simplicities). And the setting could not be a better place for the both the outdoor adventurer and peace seeker alike.

Although I've not yet personally met Martin , he was a gracious and generous host, checking in and letting us know he was available to answer any questions.

I'm excitedly planning two more visits over the next few months.

Very comfortable and very responsive host

We rented Martin's beach house for a weekend away with 3 couples and 3 kids under 3. It was perfect. Very comfortable for all of us. We were worried that the bunkhouse would be cold on a February weekend but the heater worked really well and we were all very toasty all night long. The house is very well stocked with everything you need to including full kitchen with just about every pot and pan imaginable.

Martin was probably the most responsive host I have ever experienced in renting from Homeaway and Airbnb. We had a bit of trouble with the lock on arrival but Martin called with 1 minute of my texting him to resolve the problem and he had many suggestions for how to spend time on the property as well. Would certainly rent again. Thanks Martin!

Its an older property which is in the most beautiful setting filled with interesting things!

The views are amazing, lots of Windows to allow the occupiers full enjoyment of the ocean, mountains, sunsets and sunrises! It is awe inspiring. It is a home from home filled with interesting objects the owners have picked up on their travels. They have a real flare for interior design.

There were 4 of us, we usually get together at least once a year to enjoy each other's company and laughs.

The home is cosy, warm, lovely beds and linen and amazing art work.

The view allows for many nights of star ocean and twinkling lights of Nanaimo gazing and dreaming.

Great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, galleries, and plenty of outdoor activities are all just steps away from our front door. Or stay on the property and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of our quiet and private beach front neighbourhood.

FERRY: Most people arrive on the Sunshine Coast by BC Ferries. See bcferries website for schedules, departure and arrival times, and any current possible delays or timing. The ferry leaves Horseshoe Bay, and is a 40 minute gift to the modern family. It starts your decompression. Stand on the bow of the ship, let the wind blow through your hair, and just recognize that you are going to a new world of relaxation, slower pace and fewer hassles. If you are hungry, the food is actually pretty good, given the usual expected standard of ferry food one finds worldwide. If you are travelling during the busier summer time, or on weekends, you might be well advised to spend a few dollars to secure a reservation online on a particular ferry so you don't have to wait any longer than necessary.

PUBLIC TRANSIT and BUS: You can get here by public transit, although it is less convenient than travelling by car. Get on the ferry at Horseshoe Bay as a 'walk-on' for a modest charge, catch the bus that meets the ferry upon arrival, and get off a couple blocks from the beach house. The Malaspina bus service runs daily, and can pick up at Vancouver Airport (YVR), or downtown Vancouver and drop you off at the bus stop by the beach house, and take you back. There is a limited schedule

FLOAT PLANE: If you are in a hurry to relax, or want to treat your group to a really special experience, arrive by float plane in Sechelt, and secure a taxi ride the 10 minutes to the beach house. If you are staying a few days at the beach house, but want to go into the big city of Vancouver for a day, take the float plane in to the heart of the city, landing near Canada Place in downtown Vancouver. The service also flies to and from Vancouver Airport (YVR) or across the Georgia Strait to Nanaimo. Indirect float plane service connects on to Whistler and Victoria. The views are exceptional and it is one of the best ways to see the coast, and have a really memorable experience.

The bunk house is an adorable separate building a few steps away from the main house and is joined by raised private deck. We will consider allowing a group of more than 6 people only if one or two children use the couch or portable fold-up mattress stored in the front hall closet. Approval is required for this exception from the owner before confirmation will be provided.
