About Owner/property manager

My personality profile says I'm an Eagle, but I've never really hurt anyone. I'm an entrepreneur, dad of many, grandfather, author of the forthcoming book "Happy Kids, Happy Future" and charter boat captain. I love to fish and love to see others have a good time fishing. Winters are spent snowboarding with kids and cross-country skiing, some ice fishing and vacationing. My wife and I own and run a print shop, which is up for sale now, as we'd like to retire from that part of our lives.

Owner/property manager purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Owner/property manager chose Allouez

My family has had property on Sand Point Road nearly all my life, so I spent ALL my growing up summers here. I had my sights on this property long before it came up for sale in 2013 in order to base my charter business from here, and immediately made an offer that was accepted. It's a really nice spot - one of the nicest on beautiful Lac La Belle and with deep water close to shore, it serves well to dock a large boat here.

What makes this cottage unique

A grand view of the lake where you see wildlife, sparkling water, boats and BOTH the sun-rise and sun-set.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted you to know how much we loved staying at your cabin!!! It was such a relaxing time and the kids loved fishing, swimming and kayaking right out the front door!!! Wish we would have been able to squeeze in a sightseeing tour with you!!! I guess we'll just have to come again!!!

Thanks,

Very Private Retreat for a Relaxing Getaway....

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is secluded at the end of the road with the lake shore surrounding the edges of a very comfortable yard. Campfires right outside your door and private swimming steps away.

The inside of the cottage has been refreshingly painted white with open cozy atmosphere.

Hosted a large family group very well. We were made very comfortable by Captain Brian's hospitality. The family committed they would definitely like to come back. It was a pleasant drive to Copper Harbor through the most scenic part of the trip.

Bohemia bliss!

  • 5 of 5

I'm so thankful we chose this property to spend our annual trip, to enjoy the slopes and adventure of Mount Bohemia. The cabin was spacious, convenient and beautiful. The views were amazing; would love to stay in the summer. I've been skiing at Bohemia for a decade plus, and these are the best accommodations I've had! Thanks Brian!

Nice cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here to ski at Mount Bohemia. We were comfortable, the location was ideal, and the owner was helpful. I'd come back just to look at the night sky over the lake.

Owner's Response: Not only is it close to Bohemia for downhill skiing, but snowboarding is awesome there as well. Snowmobile trails are close by and cross country skiing is excellent and don't forget about our summers! The Best!

Just what our group was looking for

  • 5 of 5

We have a mixed group of friends, some ski and love Mount Bohemia other like to ice fish. In years past we rented yurts Anthony other cabins offered by Bohemia, this year we tried something different and it was perfect. We didn't catch any fish but the accommodations were just what we needed.

Thank you Brian for this great rental.

Owner's Response: Last winter, my ice fishing renters did quite well. Sorry that you didn't find the fish.

Our third year and still our favorite spot!

  • 5 of 5

Love the location, views, privacy and all of the amenities of a home. Our boys ( 12 & 14) each brought a friend this year and we still had plenty of room. We did lots of local adventuring and the boys all had a great time! We also have family in the area so Keystone is great for having family dinners, picnics, and visiting. To top it all off, it is pet friendly and I think our dog loves it more than us! She has the freedom to run around the property, bark at and chase waves, jump in and out of the water and go on vacation with her family :)
