Why Grier Eargle chose Saluda
Saluda is a unique area convenient to many attractions in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. This log home was completely remodeled in 2012-2013. It's less than 2 miles from the interstate and less than a mile to downtown Saluda yet feels like it is in a world by itself. The views are some of the best in WNC and the house was designed to take advantage of the southern exposure and mountain vista.
What makes this House unique
A log home with a gas fireplace, an outdoor gas grill, unparalleled views and a convenient location.

What a wonderful place! Kitchen is well stocked - important for a woman's getaway with several chefs!! Rooms were comfortable and plenty of space for everybody!
Thanks so much!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing, rooms were comfortable and clean, and we had plenty of space for our group. The property owner, Grier, was incredibly responsive with questions during our stay which made it that much better.
very nice weekend in Saluda
This house was the host location for my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration. We had them, my family with teenager, and my brother's family with 3 small kids. The three level layout was perfect for our situation! The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed family meals together. The dining table only seats 6 so we had to spread out a little, but it was ok. We also enjoyed playing outside and grilling out one evening. I wasn't too sure about what Saluda would be like, but it is such a cute town! We enjoyed BBQ at the Green River BBQ place (5 minutes from house), the beautiful hike and waterfall at Pearson Falls (12 minutes from house), and Zip Lining at The Gorge (8 minutes from house), and the Sky Top Orchard (20 minutes from house). There is also a Dollar General about 3 minutes away if you have to run out for last minute items like milk, eggs, bread, gloves, etc. AWESOME location for lots of family fun.
Wonderful Cozy Cabin
We had an amazing experience at The Escape! We had 3 small families together and Had plenty of space. Everything was super clean and the beds were so very comfortable! The view was gorgeous! We would
Love to come back! We highly recommend it!
Plenty of room for 9 people with spectacular views. Great location for getting to the sights we wanted to go to. One suggestion, 6 rolls of toilet paper was not enough for 9 women for 5 days!
Thank you so much for your review. We're so happy you enjoyed the views from The Escape as well as enjoyed exploring Saluda as well as the entire area. There is so much to enjoy. We'll also make sure to have plenty of toilet tissue for all!
Again, thanks so much for your feedback!
The house was nice with plenty of room for our ladies weekend.
We liked how the house was large enough for all 8 is us to sleep comfortably but there was not enough room for all of us to eat or gather without having to find seating from another room. Had an issue with the water heater going out 2 times which was not a good thing. Probably should look into why it trips the circuit by itself. Luckily we asked which circuit to flip so when it happened again we could take care of it right away.
Overall we had a nice stay. The beds we comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with lots of things to use including things like a Crock-Pot and larger baking pans. Informational wise the hospital is only 7 miles away and when one of our ladies needed to go in the middle of the night they were fantastic. In and out in record time. Would also like to recommend the wakey monkey right in Saluda which had good breakfast.
Thank you so much for your comments and we appreciate you bringing the water heater to our attention. It needed replacement and we were able have it replaced before our next guest arrived.
Saluda, North Carolina is the first mountain town you come to traveling west on I-26 from South Carolina. The nearby towns of Tryon, Hendersonville and Asheville are a short drive away. Saluda itself has a two block historic Main Street with shops and restaurants.
