Lovely villa with good accommodation

  • 4 of 5

Lovely villa with veranda area where you can sit for breakfast for shade or protection if it rains. Also lovely balcony seating area outside master bedroom. Four double rooms, one of which is an attic room with 2 doubles and 2 singles so ideal for children. The info states that this is a 7 bedroom house but the owners second home is next door with 3 additional bedrooms(perhaps the website should be changed to clarify this). Everything we needed was provided with lots of plates, cutlery and saucepans etc (another chopping board would be useful). Appreciated the little extras such as soap, toilet rolls, extra bed linen etc. Very friendly and welcoming owners, nothing too much trouble despite the language barrier.

Recommend visits to cable car at Fuente De in mountains (approx 1.5 hour drive but worth it). The white patches you can see from the distance are SNOW even in 25 degree+ temperatures. Lots of fabulous beaches in easy driving distance, including Ribadesella, LLanes, La Griega dinosaur beach where there are dinosaur footprints on a safe clifftop walk after approx 500metres etc. Poo beach safe for inflatables. Llanes has a medieval quarter and good market. Oviedo is worth a visit - a city with beautiful architecture, though be aware that most shops and attractions shut for 2-3 hours early afternoon for a siesta. Cabarceno Wildlife Parc is a fabulous safari park which again is approx 1.5 hours drive but well worth it. Also caves at Cueva el Soplao are fantastic - the caves with prehistoric cave paintings were booked for the whole of august but here we were able to turn up and visit within a wait of an hour and a half. No English speaking tour guides but the sights were spectacular.

Overall a fabulous holiday.

Preciosa casa

  • 5 of 5

Maravillosas vacaciones

  • 5 of 5
