Why Stephen Demorest chose Westerly
Our grandparents built the house in 1949 and four generations have enjoyed it ever since. A retreat from the workaday world, but a simple weekend commute from New York or Boston.

New England Beautiful
Had a wonderful experience at the Demorest House. The owners were great answering all my questions prior to the stay and the caretaker of the property was prompt to check us in and explain everything about the house and property. He also let us know he would be available for anything we needed. This house is close to so much fun, but feels like you are deep in the quiet countryside!
Great vacation home and location
Realizing that this house use to be the owner's grandparent's home, it met our expectations exactly. We were six college friends who get together annually. We each had bedrooms and only two shared a bath. The house is decorated in a comfortable style - very welcoming. The sun room was our favorite place to hang out - great views.
Weekapaug is a small, exclusive New England beach community of private homes, also featuring The Weekapaug Inn. The community includes a private tennis club, yacht club and golf course for residents and their guests, all of which can be joined temporarily for nominal fees. Beach access and parking privileges come with the house. Weekapaug is protected on all sides by water and a nature conservancy land trust, and because there is no through traffic children can bike to beaches and tennis and sailing lessons with complete ease and safety. There is one small sandwich shop by the Fenway Beach.
