Why Tanya Darrow chose Gulfport
Country setting in the City to rear my three children; quiet, serene, peaceful setting with good neighbors. Most still live there.
What makes this House unique
The convenience of just about anything you need or want, such as shopping, beach, all kinds of restaurants, water park, great medical facilities, casinos, theater (live as well as movies), every denomination of church, all within a very few miles yet being at 25th Street Place can be a break from the action and gives one a restful place to return when needed. I cannot leave out the people of this town. Talk about Southern hospitality, it’s first class on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Well appointed, spacious and great master suite it truly fulfilled our needs, centrally located and near the beach. Fenced back yard so our puppies had plenty of room to run and play. We will for sure return. Cornatzar/Douglas
25th St house, Gulfport
This was our second stay here...4 days in June and were scheduled for 7 this time but had to leave early due to the storm Nate. For our needs this is a great location. Everything one needs is nearby. Restaurants, groceries, fuel, etc. Go to Lil' Rays on Courthouse Rd., delicious gumbo. Also Harborview a few miles West. We split a seafood platter and took some with us.
Our first stay went without a hitch. This trip there were a few things that needed attention. Nothing that will keep us from booking again next year, but items that the cleaning/maintenance person overlooked. I'm confident that Tanya will see to it that details are taken care of in the future.
This is a very quite neighborhood. Even though the airport is just North and a railroad track just South, the house inside is virtually soundproof.
We found that there were plenty cooking pots, pans, dishware, etc. if one cares to prepare some meals in.
You may see a racoon, or possum scampering through the yard on occasion after dark. Lots of birds flitting around.
We are looking forward to returning next year and returning the rating to 5 stars.
Perfect place to spend weekend
Nice and clean house with all the essential you need to spend time with family and friends.
We shall surely consider again.
Thanks for memorable experience.
Attended annual USAF reunion. House was nicely furnished and clean. I would recommend upgrading linens for bathrooms. All in all, was great not to be in a hotel and was more affordable. Very comfortable, nice stay!
Perfectly met our needs
The house was perfect. We were in gulfport for a weekend for a cousin's wedding and thought this would be better than staying in a hotel. The house is huge, especially the master bedroom and bath. Our favorite part was the backyard patio, where we spent the majority of our time. We recommend this house for groups, as we slept 5 very comfortably.
Great place with very minor issues
Overall, the stay was very enjoyable. The house layout was exactly as advertised. It was very spacious and easy to move around even with luggage everywhere. The house was less than a two minute drive to the beach and only a few more to downtown Gulfport or Biloxi. We were a little worried about the proximity to the airport and railroad tracks. However, both were far enough away and the house insulated well enough that neither were an issue even with young children. It was nice having a fenced back yard to let the kids run and play. The appliances worked great, dishes were ample, and there were enough towels to last a while. The beds were in good shape and comfortable. Some of the interior doors were hard to shut because of the alignment being off, but it wasn't a problem.
The issues we had were minor enough that I didn't feel the need to inform the owner until we were leaving. The laundry room door hinges were loose, so it wouldn't close. We had to change a couple of light bulbs, luckily there were extras in the laundry room. There were a couple of candelabra bulbs out in the dining room that didn't have spares, but there were enough lamps to compensate. The lights and fans were difficult if not impossible to get the pull chains to work. I decided to leave them instead of taking a chance on ripping them out of the ceiling. We checked in the same day another renter left, so there was no time to cut the grass. It was cut a couple of days into our stay. Some of the supposedly clean dishes still had food on them, so we had to wash them again before using. There was also a little dog hair throughout the house that had to be swept up. The vacuum didn't work. The HVAC system worked fine, but should be upgraded/maintained. It had a hard time keeping up with a normal summer day with the thermostat set at 75. The worst of the issues were the creepy-crawlies. There were a couple of small lizards (2 inches) in the house when we got there. There were also a couple of decent sized spiders, one of which bit my daughter the first night. A few decent sized bugs (1-2 inches) got in the house during the week. I purchased some Ortho Bug Killer and sprayed down as much of the baseboards throughout the house as I could. The whole thing really needs sprayed inside and out. Like I said, these were all minor issues that are part and parcel to having a short-term rental.
For the price and location, the house was a good value and I would have no problems staying again.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and everything else you would like to do and see on your vacation!
