The picture tells it's own story! A stay in Gaiole in Chianti puts you at the heart of fine wine and fine food.
Borgo di Gaiole mixes old with new and is a unique development. It offers all mod-cons including air conditioning and excellent on site facilities, whilst remaining true to Tuscan architecture and traditions.
The location offers all the benefits of a classic Chianti villa holiday with rural peace and quirt, whilst being within easy walking distance of all you need; and as an added bonus you have all the sophisticated modern facilities of the Borgo immediately to hand.
Set within easy reach of many vineyards, beautiful Siena and only 50 minutes from Florence, my friends and I found the house to be perfectly equipped and finished to a high standard (even has an espresso maker).
The house was convenient for local cafes, restaurants and village shops as well as with 2 glorious balconies for some al fresco dining at home.
As well as being clean, having underground parking (no cars to spoil), it also had a good sized and clean pool, which shared the views of the rural Italian landscape that can be seen from the front bedroom and lounge area.
Thank you to the owners too, who kindly left details of local tours, attractions and some great recommendations for eateries and, importantly, where to sample some of the local Chianti - bottled bliss.
Couldn't recommend more; enjoy!

Casacorvo Maggiore is a clean, comfortable apartment and is equipped with everything we could possibly need. The communal areas are well maintained, a particular favourite being the pool surrounded by flowers.
The garden and patio at Maggiore is a delight, with views over the town towards the hills beyond, and has the sun from morning to evening.
There is a wide range of books, games and DVDs, and the owners had thoughtfully supplied a file of useful information, from recommended restaurants and shops, to local walks and trips further afield either by car or public transport.
A walk to Vertine or Barbischio is rewarded with wonderful views and a good restaurant to try the local Chianti Classico. The walk up to Capanelle is well worth the steep climb as the garden with its rose arbour is absolutely beautiful.
A favourite day out was a drive to the River Merse. Take a picnic and your camera; its the most peaceful, idyllic spot.
We had the most wonderful holiday; many thanks Phil and Anne - we hope to return one day.
Casacorvo Maggiore provides great accommodation for a group or family. The townhouse is well equipped and provides a lovely view over the town and the surrounding countryside. Our group stayed here while participating in L'Eroica the historic bike race on the gravel roads of Tuscany. It's fair to say we had the best and most envied accommodation just moments from the race and the accompanying festival of bikes, food and wine that go along with it. Dealing with the owner was always a pleasure and the accommodation certainly enhanced our stay in Gaiole.
The place is really comfortable and well kitted out for anyone from the UK or Italy with sky TV etc. We were travelling by train (railing with 2 kids), Phil helped us make contact with the taxi driver to take us to the property and return us at the end of the stay (40 euros 1 way). We really enjoyed walking to the village to buy wonderful fresh veg and drink locally made Chianti. The pool at the complex is really lovely. Our kids enjoyed playing boule, swimming, table tennis etc. Honestly this was a great place to stay on our adventure. We loved it!!
We had a wonderful week exploring Tuscany, with your apartment as our home base! All of your suggestions and instructions have been so helpful. Many thanks for the beautifully equipped accommodation.
There are over 100 wine producers in Gaiole commune alone, ranging from the world renowned Castello d'Ama through to small family vineyards.
A centre for local business, Gaiole offers 5 restaurants, 3 cafe bars, 2 delicatessens, a great value pizzeria, a tourist office, pharmacy, ATMs and shopping for all local delicacies and holiday needs.
Famous for it's cycling festival, L'Eroica held every year during the first weekend in October, the village also hosts frequent concerts and festivals.
It is an excellent centre for walking and cycling, the Siena-Florence long distance footpath runs along the ridge above the village, and there is a maze of way marked 'strada bianchi' (unsurfaced roads) criss-crossing the surrounding hills and valleys just waiting to be explored.
Vineyards and olive groves abound, amongst which sit the majestic castles of Meleto, Brolio and others, and from the atmospheric ruins of Montegrossi gaze down on your accommodation and wonder at the magic of Chianti
