Quiet, relaxing visit
This townhouse has EVERYTHING- quiet location, private (and large) outside patio off the kitchen, fully equipped kitchen, nice sized bedroom, full bathroom and more. Plus a host who is a hoot- haha. Great sense of humor and bends over backwards to make things perfect. You’re within walking to the town, plus there’s free parking to keep your car nearby to explore all the Chianti towns. We would definitely stay here again when back to this Tuscan region!
Perfect Chianti Holiday
Just what we wanted. A nice apartment for two with outside terrace, swimming pool, walking to small town with restaurants and shops and easy access to Tuscan day trips.
Phil made booking easy with good information on local area.
Fantastic home from home
My wife, daughter and I stayed in the Minore apartment for a week and we all absolutely loved it.
It was our first holiday in Italy, and the apartment is so clean, comfortable and well equipped that it truly was a home from home, which we all looked forward to returning to after hot days spent exploring Tuscany.
We all enjoyed the pool and my daughter loved her first taste of table-tennis.
The apartment's guide book is full of ideas for things to do and the small town of Gaiole is charming, with a convenient supermarket and some nice local restaurants. I miss the sound of the church bells already, and we would all love to visit again someday!
Fantastic base for exploring Tuscany
We had a great time in Gaiole in Chianti which is in the heart of the Chianti Classico region with outstanding views and plenty of wineries, picturesque villages and restaurants to explore. The Minore apartment was very well equipped and of a very high standard with plenty of facilities in the borgo including a gym and pool to relax in on hot summers days. Bikes were available but we had hired a car and decided to explore that way visiting Florence and Sienna which were well worth the trip.
The file of information was invaluable giving great ideas of places to visit and a list of restaurants some of which we visited and were not disappointed.
We certainly recommend Casacorvo and hope to be able to get there next year too.
Special stay in a special place
My mother and I stopped in Casanova Maguire in September 2017 and had the perfect holiday. The apartment has everything you would possibly need and much more besides, the owners have thought of everything. The owner was attentive courteous and extremely helpful, and clearly has excellent taste; the apartment has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard, maintaining many original features. The location and borgo are simply blissful, in short I could never recommend this apartment enough. Perfect!!!
We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. Chianti is a fantastic place to stay in the late summer - just that little bit cooler to help enjoy the cities, the castles and of course the vineyards! We hope you will be back soon!
Everything about our stay was excellent. The owner provided very detailed information concerning the property, travel information and places to visit. The property was extremely well appointed and equipped. The wine on our arrival was very welcome!! The staff who looked after the property were very friendly and helpful. The Borgo is in easy walking distance to the small town Gaoile, which is also pretty and friendly. We particularly liked being able to get into Sienna quickly and easily. The 30 minute drive meant that we visited 3 times during our stay. We would recommend this property and hope to visit again ourselves.
We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again!
There are over 100 wine producers in Gaiole commune alone, ranging from the world renowned Castello d'Ama through to small family vineyards.
A centre for local business, Gaiole offers 5 restaurants, 3 cafe bars, 2 delicatessens, a great value pizzeria, a tourist office, pharmacy, ATMs and shopping for all local delicacies and holiday needs.
Famous for it's cycling festival, L'Eroica held every year during the first weekend in October, the village also hosts frequent concerts and festivals.
It is an excellent centre for walking and cycling, the Siena-Florence long distance footpath runs along the ridge above the village, and there is a maze of way marked 'strada bianchi' (unsurfaced roads) criss-crossing the surrounding hills and valleys just waiting to be explored.
Vineyards and olive groves abound, amongst which sit the majestic castles of Meleto, Brolio and others, and from the atmospheric ruins of Montegrossi gaze down on your accommodation and wonder at the magic of Chianti
