FROM PHILADELPHIA MAGAZINE:
'Two cultural VIPs (from the Curtis Institute and Kimmel Center) bought this roomy log cabin in 2012 as an escape from city life. Then they gave it an overhaul, adding the perfect mix of vintage elements (an enameled wood stove from Norway) and new stuff (spa-like bathrooms, a private suite) for a gorgeous upscale-yet-cozy look. Lucky for you they're willing to share. Drive 20 minutes and you'll find Lake Nockamixon, antiques shops, and quaint enclaves like Frenchtown.'
***JUST ADDED! The north deck was just outfitted with a teak dining table and chairs for 10, as well as a lounging area with a love-seat, two arm chairs and a coffee table***

Just furnished and completely refreshed in 2013, this log home has a chef's kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances and granite counters. The original handmade cabinets and built-ins have been retained.
The main bathroom is very large, with a claw foot tub and shower. There is a complete collection of bath salts and other skin products providing a spa experience.
While the whole home is newly furnished, unique antique pieces fill the property with character. The huge dining room seats 12, and adjoins the living room for perfect entertaining.

A Blu-ray player and a wireless printer for convenient printing of local destinations and directions caps off a most technologically sophisticated package tucked in a country log home environment.
Outdoors is landscaped and beautiful from all four sides of the house. The front yard is long, wide and rolling, with a park-like atmosphere. One side of the house has a raised garden, and the other a large deck with two tables and 8 chairs. There is a 5 burner gas grill on the deck. The back yard is wide and flat, with many visits by deer and a large variety of birds.
Extra features include a full size second refrigerator, and two pop-up picnic tables with built-in seating that each seat 4.
I live in downtown Philadelphia in a 4 story townhouse built in 1803. I grew up in a family that developed property for over 100 years, so my love of interesting architecture and restoring houses is in my blood.
Chuck Finch purchased this house in 2012
There is no type of property that offers such a distinctly warm and welcoming appeal as a log home. By updating the house without making it too contemporary, I think that Raspberry Hill has a unique combination of sophistication and rustic charm.
The outdoor property is vey private and quite beautiful. Although a log house, all of the technology you could ever want is available.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Raspberry Hill! The cabin was beautiful! The kitchen well stocked! We celebrated a birthday weekend with family and everyone loved it! To top it off, we had 70 degree weather in the middle of February so we got to enjoy sitting outside! Would definitely return!
We had a wonderful stay. We went with two couples and having the private suite worked out great.
Went hiking in the cold and came back to relax in cozy living room with great fireplace.
Our britanny probably had the best time, exploring the property. Would highly recommend and definitely go back when the weather turns warm
If you're looking for a beautifully done log home to stay in while you relax by the fire and play board games with the ones you love, than look no further! Just bring yourselves, food and drink! The thought and attention to detail that Chuck has put into ensuring your stay is nothing less than great is above and beyond. It's such a welcoming, cozy home, you don't want to leave and will definitely want to return.
Thank you for opening up your home and allowing others to share in making memories in such beautiful surroundings!
We had an incredible stay at Chuck's cabin. It was a rather cold weekend & the cabin was so lovely and cozy. We made delicious meals in the well stocked kitchen, sat by the fire, and took luxurious baths. All the decor is so beautiful and thoughtful. We also had a wonderful time exploring all the quaint nearby towns. Chuck is such a gracious and helpful host. If you are thinking of renting this cabin, I highly recommend it!
The property is absolutely beautiful and the house is charming with so much character! It's very spacious and backs up to a wooded area. We enjoyed the outdoor space and the firepit very much!
My husband and I decided to celebrate our 33rd anniversary in Bucks County. We rented your home for some relaxation and antiquing. We had the most amazing time and your home is beautiful beyonds words. We hope to return in the near future with our children. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Wish we could have stayed longer. Grace & Chuck
Nestled on several acres of landscaped property, and surrounded by hundreds of acres of woodland and fields, your only neighbors are 2 horses and a red barn. Not visible from the road, the house is completely private, but minutes from wonderful antique stores, restaurants and state parks.
