About Michelle Shelby Spinneweber
I go by Shelby and I am a sagittarius:) Which makes me a lover of travel and adventure . I like to write, read, eat really good food in really nice or really unusual restaurants, and listen to all kinds of music (country, jazz, blues, classical, old rock) I appreciate a finely crafted cocktail and prefer 'top shelf'. My husband and I have 3 horses (mostly quarter horses) and we like to trail ride at the beach and numerous state parks. I am a fan of camping. I would like to work on the 'glamping' thing. I work full time as a realtor in NE Florida and SE Georgia. I specialize in St. Augustine which is the oldest city in the US! My work keeps me really busy but I like it as I get to work with buyers and sellers from all different walks of life and I get to see a lot of nice homes. I like renovation projects best as I love to see an old home with good bones get new life. In early life I grew up on 40 acres in Pennsylvania. I moved to S. Florida in the 80's and now live in both St. Augustine, FL and Coastal GA.

Why Michelle Shelby Spinneweber chose Almond
From the moment I first walked in this home I was enchanted. I loved the huge stone fireplaces, the sprawling outdoor spaces, the amazing lake views, and the icing on the cake was when i first heard and saw the babbling brook running under the deck. I found this place to be so peaceful and I had to make it mine and I also wanted to share it with others.
What makes this Chalet unique
Super close to NOC, Lake Fontana, Smokey Mountain Railroad, Tsali, and Tail of the Dragon. Super easy access on a paved road with plenty of room to park vehicles and or a boat. Really quiet and peaceful setting but so close to so many wonderful things to do!

Great for families
The house was clean and neat and had all the amenities we needed. Good kitchen too. The property is across the street from a lovely pond and area to walk the pet. I'd stay there again!
Relax Relax Relax
Such a comfortable mountain home stocked with everything one would need. The location is amazing with the pond within steps away. My son and two dogs were in heaven. I slept amazing all nights due to the comfortable beds and fresh air. Would love to return to Heron’s Haven.
Great property for a family weekend!! Fishing and sightseeing and just chilling. Loved it!!!
Everything was great, near perfect environment!
Thanks for staying it was a pleasure having you and hope to see you again.
Will be Back!
We had a blast for the few days we were at Herons Haven. So easy to find and not a bad drive at all. The fact we were anle to bring our pup was enough to bring us back. There was plenty of space for us all to stretch out. The only problem was we were not aware there was not a bedroom downstairs. My in laws had to sleep on the couches bc the pull out was not as comfortable. But they were fine with it and all had a blast. The cabin is a little out dated (dishes, pots and pans and decor) crock pot has no lid! We improvised! But nothing that put a damper on our time there. Our son spent every moment he could down by the pond. So many great memories were made. We will be back Heron's Haven!
