About Colleen Totsch
We are Jeff and Colleen Totsch and have been married for 38 years. We've always made a point to take time to get away for quality time alone with each other or with our 4 children while they were growing up. We finally got to a point in our lives where we could afford to buy a little piece of HEAVEN in the MOUNTAINS. It is our hope that you will build wonderful memories while staying at our log cabin in the Smokies that you will treasure for years to come.
Colleen Totsch purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Colleen Totsch chose Gatlinburg
The mountain views and condition of the cabin were amazing! We felt it had all the 'ingredients' for that 'Smoky Mountain Experience'. Plus, Cobbly Nob isn't just any community. It runs along the northern border of the Smoky Mountain National Park so your views are natural Mountain views. And Cobbly Nob has it own road maintenance crew. If it snows, they maintain and plow the roads so you won't need to worry about not being able to get home in time to get back to work . I knew this would be a real important asset to a vacation property.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to having you come back!
Over all we had a good stay. I was happy the place was clean. There was only one minor thing and I wouldn't have even found it if my cord wouldnt have fell behind the tv. I found a hair band. But other than that I've stayed in 4 star hotels that were way worse in finding items that shouldn't be. I checked areas that normally get overlooked for dust.. There was none. Great job. Our favorite part was our bear encounter on our last day. While sitting outside enjoying oir coffee out strolls a bear. He/she walked right past us, it was awesome. We got some great pictures and a nice story to tell when we got home.
So much fun
Thank you for renting your place out to us. We really enjoyed it. And, your place was a so beautiful. We can’t wait to do this again soon. Thank you so much.
No internet or tv
Mountain Memories did not disappoint in the least.
From the booking process up until the last day we spent at Mountain Memories the whole experience was awesome. I booked Mountain Memories as our first cabin experience for me and my girlfriend and we fell in love with the place from the moment we walked in. With enough room for 4 it was quite cozy and well decorated. We drove our SUV towing a 6 ×12 trailer with our bike to take advantage of riding the Smoky Mountains and the famous Dragon Tail. Going up to the cabin from Cobbly Nob was very challenging to say the least but once there I found it to have enough parking for both the SUV and trailer. The view of the mountains from the cabins balcony was breathtaking and we made full use of the jacuzzi and hot tub in the loft after full days enjoying Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Everything we needed was in the cabin. Not sure why some folks complained about the hot water or lack of cable channels but we had enough of both.... We managed to save some money by cooking as much as we could and found the kitchen well stocked for this. On our 3rd day there we were blessed to have our very own bear experience as we were able to video tape a Mother bear with not 1 but 4 cubs make her way around the perimeter of the cabin...just out for a stroll with her cubs. This was beyond what we had expected but I must say it was a very rewarding and humble experience and momma bear did not display any aggressiveness at all...almost like she wanted to show us her cubs. The decor of the cabin was just right with attention to detail with nature scenes and what a cabin in the mountains should fell like. Very quiet neighborhood too and you get that sense of privacy and peace much like there is no one around you. We took advantage of a package deal with Climbworks (just down the road on 321) and booked a day of Zip linning and another day for Rafting....highly recommended. We had all the fun we could have energy for in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and it was nice to have a place that was not to far away that we felt at home in and we could truly enjoy. Collen was awesome and answered every question we had and the whole experience was very smooth. I cant say enough about the place. Would I book again....you betcha. God bless you Collen and Jeff and hope to be back soon. KC and Liza from Jacksonville Florida.
