Gatlinburg Cabin Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedroom, 3 Bath Luxury Log Cabin 3 minutes from Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Comm

'It's as if you can reach out and grab Mount LeConte' said one of our recent guests.

The mountain views are glorious no matter the season: fresh greens in the Spring, beautiful Fall reds, yellows and oranges, and white snow cap peaks in the Winter.

Enjoy these mountain views from one of three large decks, or while relaxing in our hot tub on the romantic candlelit gazebo.

You can smell the clean fresh wood. This newer log cabin is decorated with beautiful 'authentic' Log furnishings and pine floors, walls and ceilings throughout.

We've tried to think of everything to accommodate our guests, down to the coffee maker brewing above 200 degrees for perfect coffee, and coffee grinder with Colombian bean coffee so that our log cabin 'Bears Repeating.'

A dining table and island in the kitchen, two picnic tables on the main deck, log rockers, and a fully equipped kitchen provide for wonderful family gatherings.

Couches and chairs are leather for easy cleaning and care.

Bears Repeating sleeps 14 people. Two king master suites, a queen suite, double bunk beds in the fourth bedroom, along with two queen sofa sleepers; perfect for multiple or large families.

The upstairs master honeymoon suite has it's own double Jacuzzi whirlpool tub.

Wi-Fi throughout; flat panel HDTV with Netflix in each bedroom, and easy access to HDMI input for video game consoles (bring your HDMI cable, consoles, games, and controllers).

The TV room has a 70 inch Smart HDTV with Netflix streaming, great for family movies or ballgames; upstairs Family Room has a 40 inch Smart HDTV with Netflix streaming.

And don't forget the Settler's Ridge pool. Great for a family cookout while the kids enjoy a swim after a busy day of hiking or visiting the sites.

'Bears Repeating' is centrally located, near to all the attractions in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains without the stress of traffic.

In the mountains, as you can imagine, seasonal access to your cabin can be a challenge. Bear's Repeating has year around access (unless extremely heavy snow/ice) by way of Manis Hollow (neither too winding nor too steep).

From 'Bears Repeating' to Gatlinburg, take right onto Powdermill from Manis Hallow and you are in the Arts and Crafts Community on Glades Road in three minutes; another eight minutes and you will be in downtown Gatlinburg.

From Bears Repeating to Pigeon Forge, take a left onto Powdermill from Manis Hallow. Powdermill will turn into Booger Town Road, and in 4.5 miles you will run into Dolly Parton Lane. From there you will be in Pigeon Forge in five minutes or Dollywood and Splash Country in ten.

One thing you will not be doing in our luxury log cabin is roughing it.

We welcome you to share our cabin retreat with us. Our hope is that it will 'bear repeating', and you will share it with your friends or family.

Note concerning negotiating rates:

Since we've received several requests asking to accept significantly discounted rates, addressing the issue openly may save unnecessary time for those looking for steep discounts.

We offer discounted rates based upon a) seasonal rates and b) weekly length of stay.

We've made it a priority to avoid churning days rented in order to pay for our cabin. This is a primary reason for renting Bears Repeating by owner.

It is best for all our guests and Bears Repeating to conservatively rent our cabin at good consistent rates.

We want Bears Repeating to be your home-away-from-home so that you will want to return and tell others about us.

Note for those interested in vacationing in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Vicki and I recently purchased a 2BR/2BA condo in a great location directly on the beach. If you are interested, check out our VRBO listing #512639.

About Mike and Vicki Graham

Mike and Vicki live in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, about 15 miles outside Nashville.

For the past 13 years, Mike has pastored Hickory Grove Church, PCA while Vicki has worked in the Wilson County School system as a Speech Language Pathologist.

We have four children from ages 23 to 14.

Mike and Vicki Graham purchased this cabin in 2010

Why Mike and Vicki Graham chose Tennessee

We've always loved the mountains and vacationed in Gatlinburg with our family and on anniversaries.

Mike and the kids used to stop on the Gatlinburg parkway, take off their shoes, stick their feet in the cold mountain water, and see who could keep their feet in the longest.

We purchased a condo in the mountains in Gatlinburg in the early 90's. When Mike was called into ministry, he sold his real estate business and we sold our condo in closing this chapter in our lives.

In 2010, when real estate prices were severely depressed, we decided it was a good time to purchase a second home.

We never dreamed we would find a luxury log cabin like Bears Repeating centrally located to all the attractions.

We've been successfully renting our cabin through a rental management company since purchasing it in June of 2010.

Due to Mike's background in Real Estate, advances in Technology (VRBO/Facebook), locating an excellent cleaning service, and maintaining better over site over guests renting our cabin, we decided to Rent-by-Owner.

the house and area are amazing! The house had plenty of space for all of us and had everything we needed for our stay. The photos were accurate and the house was ready/clean/neat when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the bears (a momma bear & 3 cubs). The views from the back porches were beautiful and so peaceful.

We had easy access to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with the house centrally located between both. A vacation location that definitely "bears repeating"!

Amazing mountain view cabin.

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Bears Repeating with 8 adults and 3 children. The property fit our needs well. We found it well maintained and there were plenty of sheets and towels for the week. We loved the porch on the main level for our family dinners. The pool table was a hit with everyone. It has a spectacular view of the mountains anytime of the day. The food store is close which is nice. It is located near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge which is a plus. Had a great meal at The 3 Jimmys. Many of us went hiking in the park. It is great that admission to the park is always free.

Beautiful Cabin Close to the Fun

  • 5 of 5

Bears Repeating is a beautiful cabin with an amazing view! There are plenty of spaces (balconies, pool, hot tub, pool table, front porch) to get away from those family members that are driving you nuts. :) A large family (we had 13) will have trouble fitting everyone in one shared space, unless you want to go outside on the main level (where the picnic benches are). We could not fit everyone around the dining room table or in the living room area for a game night. The kitchen is well-equipt for a family that cooks - blender, griddle, crockpot, toaster, coffee pot, etc. The community pool was straight down the hill in front of the cabin - the hill is steep but our 3 year old handled it just fine. You can hear people at the pool from the balconies, but you can't see them through the trees. We had the pool to ourselves every time we went. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are a short drive away and you can see, do, and eat just about anything in a 20-30 minute radius. Even though there are two thermostats in the house, the upper master suite was warmer (as to be expected during the summer). Just keep that in mind when deciding where everyone will sleep. Downstairs stayed nice and cool! The owners were kind to place a chair in the main level bathroom for my handicapped father. We would highly recommend Bears Repeating.

Needs Maintenance and Cleaning

  • 2 of 5

The cabin has a nice layout for two families that would be sharing the property. The pool facility was nice and large enough to share with another rental family. However, two of the balconies has loose railing and a a few loose floor boards and I felt very nervous having my children out on either balcony. It just wasn't safe in my opinion. Also, there was animal waste (cat or small dog) on the second floor balcony by the picnic table where we ate our dinner. I think a DVD player should be standard in any rental that sleeps this many people. We shouldn't have to pack our own DVD player. The extra blanket that was in the TV room had a large blood stain on it which was totally disgusting and should be thrown away. The bedspread in the bedroom downstairs was dirty and was not washed prior to our stay. The cabin is nice but has maintenance and cleaning issues that need to be addressed. It could be a really nice place to stay if those things get taken care of. We enjoyed the Smokey Mountain National Park, Dollywood, Dollywood Splash Country, and the Aquarium. Gatlinburg is a nice place to visit and I would recommend the vacation destination to anyone.

Owner's Response: Jennifer, Your negative review caught me by surprise. We have not had any negative reviews, and I was disappointed that our cabin did not meet your expectations. It would have been very helpful had you contacted me immediately about these things. As a note to others guests, please let us know if there are problems ASAP. I'm uncertain which balcony's had loose railings. I'll have those looked at. At times the lag bolts may pull from the cabin and they simply need to be tightened. But they would not present a danger. The animal waste, I am told by our housekeeper, was likely from a raccoon. She cleans the balconies on each cleaning. I'm sorry you were unaware of the 3 DVD's we have at the cabin. They are built into the back of the TV's in the pool room, the Queen suite, and the double bunk room. They are listed on our VRBO website, and I would have gladly told you about them had you called. We also provide Netflix movie streaming in every room on every TV. Kids often bring there xBox or Playstation to plug into the big TV's. So it seemed unnecessary to have more outdated DVD players. When people have watched a DVD on the large screen (which is seldom since they have Netflix and Amazon), they usually simply use their computer or gaming system. I'm sorry this inconvenienced you, and again would have gladly told you how to use the DVD's on those other TV's had you called. We've had our cabin booked back to back most of the year. I do regret their being a blood stain on one of the blankets. I too find that gross! Again, had you called, I would have simply asked you to dispose of it, so future guests wouldn't experience that, and I would have shipped a replacement immediately. The bed spreads comforters are not washed prior to each stay. I usually dry clean them several times a year. They are specially made for our cabin, and are expensive to dry clean. The bedspreads on the bottom level were replaced in March/April and the upstairs in late May. Of course, all bed linens, sheets and towels are cleaned before our guests arrive. I'm glad you had a good time in the park. As a note to all of our guests reading these reviews, we are eager to please you. We own only this cabin. If there is a problem, please, please call us immediately so we can rectify it! I want to hear critiques so I can resolve them for you and future guests. We want to learn from criticism that will help us make your stay at our cabin as enjoyable as possible. Blessings, Mike

Nestled in the mountains with pretty views.

The home was well maintained and kitchen was well equipped. There is no yard for children to play, but it had lovely porches and porches to sit and enjoy them.

Beautiful cabin in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

My family loved the cabin in the woods. My favorite room was the up stairs master bedroom. I loved sitting on the deck and looking out at the mountains. Mike gives perfect driving directions to the cabin which was nice. Had a great week and we all got to see a mama bear and her three cubs right outside the door!!!
