We stayed at this apartment for 8 nights, and can't wait to return. It is perfectly appointed with all in house needs and supplies, and is in the middle of a perfectly lovely district. Shops, cafes, pubs, and specialty stores are in abundance. Pascal will meet and discuss all the things you can see and do in Paris, and remain available if you have any questions during your stay. We recommend the driver service he makes available to pick up and drop off at the airport. It is hassle free, and a perfectly stress free way to both begin and end your visit.
Thank You Pascal!
We stayed a week (May 2016) and recommend this apartment highly. We never heard people in the building and this is a quiet, largely pedestrian street, a block from Montorgueil, with its many cafes and stores. Cafe Rays is across the street, but it was modest in its crowd noise, even if you left the window open all night, as we did.
We walked to Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Left Bank, easily. Les Halle's is a bonus and the up-and-coming Marais is nearby. The neighborhood is safe and quite genuine; we watched parents taking their children to school each morning as we drank coffee and savored our croissants. Shops of all kinds are nearby, as are helpful ATMs.
The pictures are accurate. This is comfortable apartment for a couple, and yes, you get used to walking up the stairs. Oh, and ask the owner for recommendations on where to eat. He made us reservations and we loved the places he picked.
Pascal was a perfect host and the apartment was exactly what I was looking for as a home base for my stay in Paris. He responded to me promptly, sent me very clear instructions, and met me at the apartment upon my arrival. The apartment itself is ideal: spacious, clean, attractive, and well-equipped in a fun and centrally-located neighborhood. Comfortable bed, black-out curtains, washer/dryer, good heating, and the bathroom was even stocked with high-end spa accessories and toiletries. The streets immediately surrounding the apartment are mainly pedestrian so its very quiet, but it's easy to catch a cab or get on the subway just a block away. The building and surrounding area is safe, even for me as a girl walking back late at night. Plus there are lots of cool bars, cafes, and shops to explore. Pascal was extremely accommodating. As I stayed for 3 weeks, Pascal arranged for the apartment to be cleaned / fresh linens halfway through my stay at no extra cost. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend staying with Pascal!
We booked a 9 night stay in Pascal's apartment close to Rue Montorgueil, an area we know and love. It was perfect in every way. In addition to a short break we also had to work whilst on holiday and the apartment was quiet and ideal for us. The area has a great selection of restaurants, bars and shops and we never strayed away from the area at night - we were spoilt for choice. As our 9 nights came towards an end we couldn't bear to leave so called Pascal and stayed for an additional 3 days. This says it all.
My wife and I spent 8 days in Paris while renting this quiet, clean apartment in the wonderful neighborhood of Montorgueil. The apartment offered all of the amenities to make us feel right at home. Pascal made our visit most enjoyable, from the correspondences that he sent prior to our arrival, to the many recommendations he gave for restaurants and attractions while we were there. We will definitely come back as soon as we can.
This apartment is modern and makes great use of the space. It was a great place for our recent visit to Paris. The pictures are accurate, and the apartment includes a dish washer and integrated washer/dryer that worked really well. The apartment is stocked with dishes, utensils, washing detergent, etc. The fold out couch is a comfortable bed - and it's easy to fold / unfold.
The nearby Rue Montorgueil feels like what most Americans would think of as classic Paris. People walking there throughout the day buying food for the evening, eating, talking, etc. Tens of shops and restaurants, including cheese shops, bakeries, meat shops, chocolate shops, etc. It was wonderful to have this so nearby (100 yards away).
Pascal was a wonderful host, offering helpful advice before and at the start of our visit. He is professional and available.
Two small notables: The apartment is actually in 2nd arrondissement, yards from the 1st arrondissement, at least according to the street signs. The bedroom isn't enclosed, making the apartment feel more spacious - but also meaning that if you want quiet in the bedroom, this isn't the place for you. There is a curtain between the bedroom and the living room, providing privacy.
We'd recommend this apartment.
