Location, location, location! I never thought I would find myself living in a frilly Victorian, but I have grown to love and appreciate the historic nature of my home and it's architectural style. And the view isn't bad, either. :-) I would say this vacation rental is most ideally suited to guests who are seeking non-standard lodging/accommodation that is superbly situated.
What makes this Cottage unique
Landmark property registered on the National directory as 'Epworth-by-the-sea'. The carriage house was actually used to house a buggy and horses during the late 1800's. The bottom floor has been converted into a garage and storage; the top floor is the rental unit. Many of the original design features remain, including rough hewn floors made with redwood harvested from the Santa Cruz mountains more than 100 years ago. We are pet friendly (fees apply---please let us know in advance), and four-legged visitors seems to enjoy the area quite a bit. Off leash dog beach less than half a mile from the property. This property works exceptionally well for longer term guests seeking a home away from home. Guests booking for 30 nights or more are exempt from paying Transient Occupancy Tax (normally 11% of rental cost for stays less than 30 days). We are happy to adjust your rental quote accordingly for longer stays...just ask! Also, we believe in legitimacy, and in providing our guests with peace of mind in knowing that we faithfully observe all rules and taxation principles required in our local Zoning ordinance. Our City of Santa Cruz TOT permit number is 18-0090.

We stayed at the carriage house for 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. A lot of thought when into this space, very nice!
Unique space with wonderful character
This is a beautiful space in a perfect location, which absolutely made our stay in Santa Cruz. We loved having our own well-appointed place in a quiet spot that was still close to the beach. Khristina was very personable and helpful, which made our stay comfortable and easy. We were sad to have to leave!

Can't beat this really nice convenient place. Very private and comfortable. Easy walk to everything. Pretty much perfect. Nice living area with full kitchen and nice bedroom. The shower in the bathroom is fabulous. Easy to deal with owner. No one downstairs so completre privacy. So glad we visited!
Easy stroll to Municipal Wharf, Boardwalk, Casino/Arcade, SC Surf Museum, off-leash dog beaches, and so much more. We are located on scenic West Cliff Drive, in close proximity to the best of what Santa Cruz has to offer, rain or shine. We'd love to host your next visit!
