We loved everything about Shadow Hills and the property we rented! Our favorite thing about the house was the view of the mountains and golf course. The mountains and sunsets are stunning. The house was well decorated, comfortable and well maintained. It had everything we needed for our four month stay. We were always able to connect with Don quickly with any questions or concerns. He was great to work with. We enjoyed the warm California climate and will be returning again next year.
This has to be the best rental unit in the Palm Springs area ~ definitely the best in Sun City, Indio! Go ahead and sign up, you won't be disappointed. A well appointed and furnished 2 bedroom/2 bath unit with glorious mountain, water and golf course views. Located near the island green on the 4th hole of the Shadow Hills North Course with easy access to either of the two Shadow Hills' clubhouses and all of the recreational facilities. The home is bright yet protected by an electronic awning to provide shade and outdoor comfort. The patio area is private and secluded. Easy to maintain and excellent for entertaining. You won't find a better spot.
This place is a fabulous vacation home. The home is bright (lots of windows and lights), well laid out (no wasted space and efficient), clean (tile floors easy to keep clean) and clutter-free (no junk or knickknacks). Kitchen has excellent appliances and is very functional which makes meal preparation and cleanup easy. In short, the home was very comfortable. The back yard is private, quiet and has a fabulous view of the island green of the fourth hole of Shadow Hills North golf course and, no stray balls came near. The back patio also has a spectacular view of the mountains behind Palm Springs. At night the view is just as impressive with the lights of the neighbors, air planes and the stars in the sky. The owner is very proud of this place and goes out of his way to make sure everything works well, yet let us enjoy our vacation without any intrusion. This was a first class vacation experience for us and we would have no hesitation in renting it again or recommending it to someone else.
We stayed at this wonderful Shadow Hills residence during the month of February 2014. Over the years we have rented several nice places in the Palm Springs area but this is the one that we enjoyed the most. We were especially pleased to see that the house was very clean, tastefully decorated and that the yard was well maintained. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need including up-to-date appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, glassware & cutlery. The view from the back yard of this residence is breathtaking. We spent many happy hours outside enjoying the great weather and watching golfers playing the island green. In the evenings we especially enjoyed the beautiful sunsets on the backyard patio. We found the location of this home to be a convenient driving distance off of the interstate highway which provided easy access for day trips out and about. Another thing about this location is that because it is to the north of the interstate, we were able to enjoy the starry evening skies which are not as easy to view from the homes in the more populated parts of town. We like to golf and so were able to access the par 3 course that this home is located on plus many others close by. If available this is our first choice for future visits.
One of the best locations in Sun City Shadow Hills. Well equipped, well managed and very comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves so much we bought a home a few blocks away!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely new home. Great backyard patio with exceptional view and a heater for those chilly evenings. The property was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped with sturdy cookware. This rental has all the conveniences of home including free long distance calling. The owner, Don, was great to deal with and very responsive to our needs. We highly recommend this home and can't wait to stay again!
Sun City Shadow Hills is a 55+ gated resort style community with two club houses offering state of the art fitness centers, library, lighted tennis courts, bocce ball, indoor/outdoor pools, pickle ball, indoor walking track, saunas, Jacuzzis, exercise classes. The newest Santa Rosa is within a five minute walk of this home. There are more social clubs than one can imagine. Golf club includes an 18 hole championship course plus an 18 hole par-3 course. Additionally, there are over 100 golf courses in the valley, along with casinos, world class shopping, McCallum Theatre and fine restaurants. Close to La Quinta, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and Palm Springs. Disneyland, LA, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and great ski resorts are within a 2-3 hour drive.
