Charming one story 2 BD/2 BT house with a lovely courtyard is perfect for family vacation. Walk to the historic sites in the morning, shop King street in the afternoon and dine in East Bay restaurants in the evening. Run or walk around Colonial lake, play tennis or take kids to the playground. It is all right there.
This one story house has two bedrooms and additional room with pocket doors which can be converted into bedroom. One bathroom has a shower , other has a Jacuzzi tub.
What a comfortable home and so close to so many attractions. Enjoyed getting up and walking around the lake in the morning and close to the dock area it was fun to boat watch too and then all I had to do was go the other way and downtown was right there for attractions! Lots to do close in walking distance and really would go stay again in this home! Great sized backyard even for younger kids to play in was surprised space in the city! It was great to have parking in the driveway! Only at 22 minute drive from the airport! We did a lot of commuting with picking up friends so the parking made it wonderful to unload and get packed back up!
The house was comfortable & suited the adult children & I well! Nice sized backyard with a grill & cozy place to set and squirrel watch in the morning! Rooms where nice sizes and loved the bright colors. The Home was Clean, comfy & would revisit again whenever we are in the area! The pictures of this home do not serve it well!
Check in was easy and the attendant made herself available to answer questions and made sure I was settled!
Only thing I'd do would update the beds with foam mattress toppers (but no bed sleep like home) & some up dated pillows with covers on them to block out smells. Also I cook a lot I'd get rid of some of the non-stick pans that are flaking.
I would highly recommend this home to a family or group looking to be close to lots to do! It offered us a wonderful place to rest & relax while giving everyone the chance to go and explore Charleston at their own pace!
Well stocked and a short walk to King and surrounding areas. The only thing it is lacking is lighting. We found it difficult to get ready with no overhead lighting. Definitely would recommend this for a weekend away. The owner was very accommodating.
First of all, the owner of this house is fantastic. She made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time! The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies, and even a few condiments and necessities that we left off our grocery list. We had 7 people stay at our house and we were all beyond comfortable. Everyone was so thankful for the plentiful space the house provided.
Location, location, location!!! We walked EVERYWHERE we wanted to go- bars, restaurants, shops- it's absolutely perfect. We had dinner at Poogan's Porch and it was absolutely amazing. Lunch at Fleet Landing which was great too! Excellent, excellent weekend and I hope to do it again soon! The neighbors were also very friendly and assisted us with parking our 3rd vehicle (only 2 fit in the driveway). We drove to Folly Beach July 4 and had a great time. I have other friends who want to replicate our weekend so I am 100% referring them to stay here.
The only complaints I have, which are very minor, is the lack of lighting in the bunk bed room, there is no cable (but there is Wi-Fi), and the water runs out of the shower in the hallway bathroom. Other than those minor flaws, we LOVED everything and can't wait to come back to Charleston!
Our stay at this house was wonderful. The kitchen was better stocked than most houses I have rented on vacation. I loved getting up every morning and taking a run around Colonial Lake. We walked our tootsies off in Charleston and it was so nice to come home every evening to our own space. We spent one day at the beach on Kiawah Island and that too was something I would recommend. We were easily able to walk to the Cathedral for mass on the weekend and it was lovely. All in all it was a great week!
Myself and 6 other girls stayed at this lovely home to celebrate a bachelorette weekend for a friend! The backyard was perfect for morning mimosas and there was plenty of sleeping space. The owner of the property was super helpful and accommodating!
A cozy house in a more quiet neighborhood in southern Charleston. We stayed here for my daughter's college graduation and found it a great spot to both be close and to get away. A few small details kept me from giving it all five stars--the bushes were overgrown making it hard to get in and out of the car in the driveway and the master bathtub lacks a shower curtain--but overall a good experience!
Located in the heart of Downtown Charleston, near Colonial lake this house is close to everything you will want to see in Charleston.
