About Meagan Murphy Ross
Meagan and Pete Ross appreciate the need for quiet relaxation. Elizabeth, a very active 5 year old, keeps them quite busy! Meagan, a native of Olympia and Pete, from Glasgow, Scotland, decided to return to her hometown to raise their family. Until they can fulfill their ultimate dream of sailing around the world, they happily make do with the stunning view of Mt. Rainier across Budd Bay Inlet.
Meagan Murphy Ross purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Meagan Murphy Ross chose Olympia
When choosing a location to reside in Olympia, the east side of Budd Bay Inlet was an easy one. The best of the morning sun, quick access to downtown and the freeways, and the quiet seclusion of the point, is an amazing combination.
What makes this Cabin unique
Watching the tide coming and going with all its treasure, the marine life at low tide and great heron and other shorebirds are all an absolute pleasure to observe. The stairs lead straight from the cabin door to the beach. Though high tide leaves little beach below, the deck is the perfect spot to enjoy the waves lapping the shore or, in stormy weather, crashing against the breaker wall.

Exactly what we needed
The property was very well kept and in excellent repair. The deck is over the water at high tide but at low tide was the perfect place to walk the dog. Megan was fabulous. It definitely will be a place we stay when we are in the area again.
Lovely place with spectacular view
This little bungalow is adorable! There is everything you need and we were surprised how a small space could be so well laid out and efficient. The view of Mt Rainier is just breathtaking. Relaxing on the deck is a must. We loved hearing the waves hitting the wall below the deck. Walking on the beach area finding shells and sand dollars. Meagan was so easy to work with and we loved the extra touches she added to the bungalow. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Such a lovely and peaceful place! Thank you for making our anniversary extra special!
Firstly, I do not reccommend this place for anybody who has problems with stairs. Also, mini refrigerator wasn't the best for long stays.
Second, this was just a beautiful little getaway. Perfect in fact. Watching Mt. Rainier in the distance or sailboats drifting with the breeze, you just left your cares behind.
The beach is dog friendly and the neighborhood dogs were very polite.
The owner was so helpful. We had a great time.
Go and enjoy.
You will find this to be a nice retreat for a couple. The views are as pictured and more. Well furnished, clean, and a good setting off point for visiting the local national parks. We enjoyed watching the boats, birds, and local dog take a swim. Instead of eating out, we would bring in our food so we could relax and enjoy the view. My husband was able to take out one of the kayaks one morning as part of his exercise regimen. Owner very responsive and helpful. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
Great property and great host. We'll be back for sure!
A slice of heaven
Perfect relaxing, private get away overlooking the water. Breathtaking views of Mt Rainier. We enjoyed the tides, birds and otters, as well as kayaking right out in front of the place!
Great bicycling around this area - ride to Mud Bay and The Blue Heron Bakery or to the vibrant Westside neighborhood with Vic's Pizza, Skep & Skein, Harts Mesa, Iron Rabbit Restaurant or Olympia Coffee Company.
