We stayed here for my sons wedding and had a great time. The cottage was very clean and well equipped.. The bedrooms are a very good size and there are lots of towels to use in the 2 bathrooms The kitchen diner was a fab place to chill and even with 7 adults did not seem crowded. The garden was beautiful and immaculately kept.
Penny and Tim were great hosts and were helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
One of the best places I have stayed!
Beautifully mantained cottage in an idyllic garden, everything clean, fresh and top quality, and the owner went the extra mile to be helpful.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
We had a most enjoyable stay at the cottage. Situated at the end of a pathway meant the cottage was very quiet and secluded. The cottage is equipped to a high standard and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The area has lots to offer with local pubs a village store and plenty of scenic walks.
I booked this cottage for my husband and his 3 landscaping engineers - thought I'd give them a treat as they normally get booked in to cheap b&bs when they work away. It was a treat as well - I came down and stayed on the last evening. The little village of Chelmondiston is idyllic. Lovely cottage, very nicely decorated with first class appliances and touches. There were two very nice lounges with log fires/burners. The large open kitchen was really nice. All of the bedrooms were spacious and nicely furnished and the power shower in the bathroom downstairs was great. The wifi connection was excellent also. Tim was great to deal with and couldn't do enough for us. We really recommend this place unreservedly and wouldn't hesitate to return again next time we have a job in the greater Ipswich area.
We spent a very comfortable, warm and cosy week in Elm Cottage over Christmas. The property was very well maintained and clean and each room was tastefully decorated with lots of little extras. The owners even kindly put in a lovely real Christmas tree and decorations by the side of the log fire.
There are lots of lovely local walks and a superb pub right on the river Orwell who serve delicious meals a few minutes walk away.
We will definitely return,
