A Retreat For Your Passion
About Belinda Berse
I've lived in Santa Fe for 35 years, obviously I like it! This is an exciting, beautiful town. There is so much to do if you like music, art and dance.
Belinda Berse purchased this Studio in 2003
Why Belinda Berse chose Eldorado at Santa Fe
Eldorado is away from downtown Santa Fe yet not too far away, so you get to enjoy complete peace and quiet and then easily go into downtown for galleries, lots of different restaurants, shopping and museums. It's the best of two worlds. The views from my home are so special, it just makes you take a deep breathe and relax.
What makes this Studio unique
I especially like living out here in Eldorado. It's so open and quiet and I enjoy the wild life that I get to see, the natural world is very important to me. Eldorado has many resident artists, we have a weekly farmer's market and a center called La Tienda that has lots of different community events.

Belinda is helpful. The information she gives you at the sign in is useful it will enhance your stay
The space is large with natural wood plank and beam ceilings in the bedroom and studio. Views from the bedroom and studio are stunning. Eldorado itself is very nicely sited with Mountain View’s on all sides. Visiting friends in Santa Fe was easy and the short drive was scenic from start to finish.
I particularly liked being in the space with my morning coffee...enjoying the solitude and the views. As for working the space is nicely outfitted with tables, pin up walls, excellent lighting, slop sink, shop vac and strong electric. The space is very conducive to getting work done.
The bedroom is large. The bed is comfortable with great pillows, sheets and comforter. The bathroom is also generously proportioned and nicely finished with ceramic tile floor.
I have been visiting the Santa Fe area for decades and have stayed in hotels on the plaza, b&b’s in town, as well as other short term rentals. Belinda’s place ranks among the very best of all the places I have stayed and I would gladly stay there again.
Ed, thank you for your kind review. You describe the studio and surrounding area perfectly. I am very happy to read your description and know how much you enjoyed staying in the studio. It's a delight to be able to offer it, people always find their own special way to use and enjoy the space. Thank you again. Belinda
A large quiet space, ideal for artists
Belinda was a very responsive host who went out of her way to accommodate our family. We are not artists but have a son who conveniently lives a short walk from this property. The studio was a perfect place for us to sleep and get cleaned up. We cooked and ate at our son's house so the minimal kitchen was fine. We would definitely stay there again.
Susan and Ken, thank you very much for your positive review. It was a pleasure to have all of you here. It worked out so well for your family, being able to easily go back and forth to your son's home here in Eldorado. You were a pleasure to have here in the studio. You are welcome back any time. Best regards.
Beautiful, peaceful place to make art
This is a spacious, comfortable studio with lots of living space as well. Peaceful and private in a great location - you can paint (or create) all day or enjoy the areas offerings - or both. I'll definitely return someday!
Working Studio with a View
If you are any kind of an artist or a wannabe artist, this is the place for you! Fantastic views out of the north facing studio windows - HUGE studio area with plenty of work space for any kind of artistic endeavor - a great little kitchen with everything you need in the way of utensils, plates, pots, etc. The bedroom has large north facing windows as well - you can see the stars and watch the Big Dipper rotate through the night. Sunsets and sunrises are classic Land of Enchantment - 360 degree views. High ceilings with beams in all rooms - nice size bathroom with a view to the west - outside places to sit and watch the sunset or sunrise. Drive into Santa Fe is about 20 minutes.
Belinda is a great hostess who tells you everything you need to know, but does not intrude on your visit. She is always just a phone call away. The two coyotes wandering through the property were just a bonus! This is a very relaxing property where there is no hustle or bustle.
There are many interesting small New Mexico towns to visit and explore in the vicinity around the studio. In May there is a well known artist's open studio tour. Over 100 artists live and work in the area of the studio. Also, in the fall, many small towns have similar open artist studio tours where you can see and meet the artists themselves and buy gifts for the holidays. There is a brand new botanical garden in a magnificent setting on Museum Hill just 20 minutes from the studio.
