This is a gem of a property with a million dollar view from the hot tub. It's perfect for a small family or two couples traveling together. Although it's a bit off of the highway (~10 minutes on a dirt road), the views are well worth it.
The house itself is clean, modern, and comfortable. Oh, and did I mention the hot tub?
My family of three from St. Louis did a loop through 4 states and landed here for the bulk of our stay. The cabin and the setting were even better than the pictures. Very clean and modern, beautiful view of Trapper Peak. The drive from the main road takes about 15 minutes so plan ahead for your groceries. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to handle the switchbacks on a dirt road. We saw many deer and chipmunks. Used the hot tub every night. We drove into Darby and Hamilton several times. Also did a boating day at Flathead Lake in Polson. That was a drive of about 3 hours. Great food and beverage options all throughout the area. So relaxing and peaceful. Teared up when we had to leave. This is a special place, and the owner was very helpful with answering our questions. Highly recommend!
My wife and I were looking for a place that was somewhat "off the grid" to reconnect and recharge. This property and the surrounding landscape provided exactly that. The cabin is located on a private mountaintop, nearest neighbors are a good distance away. The cabin is beautiful, has everything you'll need (except personal toiletries), and the views are spectacular. A few of our highlights:
Deer came by to visit each day.
The views from the very nice hot tub.
Grilling in the fresh mountain air.
Ending the evening with a movie and a glass of wine.
Driving into both Darby & Hamilton for dining (cool breweries) and shopping.
Peace and quiet.
TIP: We rented an SUV with off-road capabilities, and I'm glad we did. The final mile and a half up the private (dirt) driveway might be tricky in a vehicle without this ability.
Thanks to the owners for making this wonderful cabin available - we hope to come back sometime soon.
Luxury Log Cabin is everything you need and then some
My co-workers who stayed at Lisa's property thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The cabin was clean, well-furnished, and everything that we needed. Lisa is also a very friendly and accommodating host. I would 100% recommend her property to anybody.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad your coworkers enjoyed their stay at our cabin. It truly is our happy place and we are glad to share it with those who appreciate a true getaway just close enough to all the area has to offer. Thank you again.
A true Montana Retreat
This home is exactly as you would expect from looking at the pictures, and the setting is unbelievable. Outstanding owner. We had a small issue when we stayed and Lisa was available immediately. Things to know: double check on directions beforehand, can be tricky. Also there is steep terrain so all-wheel or 4 wheel drive is a must. Highly recommend this place for an incredibly peaceful and quiet Montana experience.
Thank you for your review. So glad you enjoyed your stay and the Montana experience we offer from our luxury log cabin.
