La Paz Holiday
Our family of of 4 (2 teenage kids) stayed at Colina del Sol during part of our spring break trip to La Paz. The space was very clean and everything worked properly. The pool and view are very nice and the location is convenient to town. You will want to have transportation as it is located at the top of a large hill. You will not be disappointed.
Scenic, clean, comfortable
The apartment is good - well built and furnished, and as said by others, has an spectacular view. Very clean. Temperatures in December were comfortable so we didn't use AC or even ceiling fans. Good wifi.
Mattresses are comfortable; there are lots of closet space. Handy washer/dryer, so no need to pack much.
Kitchen has the essential utensils for a simple and quick meal. A few inexpensive additions (which I didn't find at the nearby grocery store) would make it better - a cutting board, a kitchen knife, ladle.
We didn't rent a car and walking to the center during the day was fine; at night you need a ride; Uber costs from US$ 2 to $10 and comes quickly.
If you split into two groups during the day you'll need to coordinate your arrivals since there is only one set of keys and gate opener; no doorman.
Since it is a new development the address cannot be found by Uber or any app: learn
to explain how to get there in general terms. If you don't speak Spanish print a copy of the map.
Francisco was really quick and accommodating during the booking process. But maybe he is not aware of the anxiety and insecurity that vacation renters feel when they do not hear from the owner/administrator until one day before their arrival!
We need some reassurance the deal is still on and that there is a valid address, so a message with instructions would have been good.
Missed: beach towels, hair dryer - traveling with only carry-on luggage these days, can't pack them!
As in most of vacation rentals or hotels: there is no place to hang wet bathing suits, beach towels. They could add discrete hooks to the balcony, maybe? That would help preserve the property. We really enjoyed our 8 days at the apartment! Would love to go back.
Nice appartment with great view
We really enjoyed our stay in La Paz for 16 days. The apartment was clean and had great views. The bottom of the hill was lower income and lots of dogs barking but this is Mexico. Only item that we had issue with was the communication as we were never given any instruction but in the end we did get a hold of Francois and he met us with the keys at the house.
Great unit, close to all we wanted
the condo unit was as stated in the description, the beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, for what we needed the kitchen worked out just fine and the grounds were well cared for. Gorgeous views from the balcony as well as the pool area. We had a car so getting around was a breeze, close to the malecon as well as the beaches, great restaurants close by and the grocery store was near by as well. the only thing needed was patio furniture, just a couple of comfy chairs and a table would have been nice, and maybe a couple of beach towels. will definitely recommend this listing and hopefully be back.
Awsome La Paz gettaway
Property was just what we were. Newer condo complex over looking the city of La Paz. Great space with two bathrooms and million dollar views. Francisco was great to work with. He meet with us upon our arrival and departure and text us to make sure we had what we needed. We will be back. La Paz is a hidden Mexican gem. It is best to have a rental car and the condo sits up on the side of a steep hill. We did do a lot of walking and exploring.
