great place to relax. the cottage was amazing. everything we needed was a short drive. can't wait to go back.
Can't wait to go back and stay here again!
If you are looking for a place to stay in Alaska, this is it! My husband and I came up from San Antonio, Texas to attend my sister’s graduation from nursing school beginning of May; we decided to stay a total of 4 days in North Pole (with family) and the rest within this adorable cottage! John and Frythe were the most amazing hosts for providing anything we needed, from firewood to varying kitchen utensils (we’re chefs) to all the great knowledge about gardening and living in this beautiful state; the cottage is stocked with all the extra linens, pillows, and laundry detergent you could want/need (early spring is really muddy)! Highly recommend utilizing the open kitchen, eating out gets pricey (over $10+ a head)! I loved watching the Riverboat sail by as I sat on the porch drinking coffee; we even got to see the northern lights from there too! Fairbanks is spread out, but the landscape is gorgeous, get a rental vehicle that can grip off-road and you will fall in love like we did! We are already planning our return trip for wintertime, surprisingly there is so much to do in Fairbanks, we ran out of time! We will definitely be staying here again!
Wonderful cottage, very neat and clean. Owners very nice and live in house on property.
Was visiting my son in AF with my wife and daughter. Cottage is perfect little get away spot. Chena river is a behind cottage about 100 ft through woods. John and Fryth were great hosts on their small farm. Will go back for sure.
I loved staying at this property, it was so cute! The property owners were great! Everything was clean and nicely kept. I travel to Fairbanks often for work and I am glad I found a nice place to stay.
Beautiful and well maintained cabin, right on the Chena River!
This gorgeous and cozy spot will NOT disappoint! The property is very clean and welcoming, and the cabin is quaint and cozy. It’s the perfect thing after a long day in the Alaskan wilderness! The host is very warm and welcoming, make sure to say hello! I promise, you won’t be disappointed with your stay!
We loved the proximity to town and how quiet it was. We could walk over to the river and watch the Discovery Riverboat cruising by. The cabin was well stocked with the basics The washing machine was a bonus
