About the property

Steps From Boutique Shops And Restaurants, And A Mile From Downtown

“Big Blue” is a large house – over 4,200 square feet – located in the beautiful and historic Hyde Park, North End district of the city, literally steps away from some of Boise’s best dining and parks, within walking distance of downtown, and a short bike ride from the best that Boise has to offer. (Rental Car available booked thru Relay Rides)

The house has four bedrooms, a very large living room with bar, formal dining room, finished basement/entertainment area, backyard deck w/BBQ, office, and is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay – we even provide mountain bikes, tennis rackets, and all kinds of toys.

Big Blue is perfect for larger groups and families. There are two master suites, a kids’ room (with a bunk bed), and a forth room that serves as either an office (it’s equipped with a desk, printer, and everything you’ll need to get work done) or as a guest room (there’s a queen-sized futon). Eight people can sleep comfortably in the bedrooms.

The best part of the house is its location: in historic Hyde Park, you are literally within a block of Goody’s candy shop, Java Coffee Shop, Hyde Park Bar & Grill, numerous restaurants, antique shops, book stores, spas, and many boutique shops. You’re also a short 5-minute walk to Camel’s Back Park, with hiking and running trails, tennis courts, and playgrounds.

Although you’re close to everything, you’ll enjoy the peace and quiet of the leisurely neighborhood and the seclusion of the backyard deck with all the BBQ supplies provided.

Other amenities include large screen plasma TVs with cable hook-ups and DVD players, Wi-Fi, and a property manager that lives in the neighborhood and can help you with everything you need.

A great house for executives, families or large groups. You'll find that you don't even need a car when you stay here, as the wide tree-lined streets are very pedestrian and bicycle friendly.

Within one mile of the house: grocery shopping, numerous restaurants and bars, yoga studios and spas, hospitals and clinics, theaters and cinemas, and much, much more.

About Alisha Coy

A third-generation Idahoan, I bought this house but live out of state with my family now. We couldn’t bear to sell it, and we would like others to have the opportunity to enjoy it as much as we have.

Alisha Coy purchased this house in 2006

Why Alisha Coy chose Boise

The size and location: big enough for large groups, close to everything but quiet and peaceful, wonderful neighbors and close to everything.

What makes this house unique

We love the fact that we never have to plan anything here: you can wake up and decide to bike to the Boise River and enjoy the zoo or museums there, or walk to the park for a game of tennis or some hiking, or stroll downtown for the Farmer's Market or to spend the day shopping and dining. You can do nearly anything you like and be close enough to home to easily come back for a snack, nap or to get some work done in the home office, or entertain friends or family in the big living room or in the backyard.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed at the 13th St. home during spring break. It was a wonderful place to hang with all of our kids and grand kids! Walk to great food, drink, and entertainment. It was great taking the grand kids to the ice cream parlor - and it's a short walk to the park too! Near downtown and easy commute to anywhere! The house was clean, warm and inviting and we will definitely stay again!

Great house with a wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

Tough to decide what we enjoyed more....the size of the house or the location. this house has it all. If your looking for a fun family home and a pedestrian lifestyle look no further. We were in town for a girls softball tournament. Every night we came home and walked into town ( 1/2 block) and enjoyed all of the wonderful restaurants. Goody's ice cream was a particular favorite with the kids (best ice cream they have ever had). Hyde House and Java Perk were great too! We wouldn't think about staying anywhere else in Boise! The manager was great to deal with too. Very professional.

Location can't be beat

  • 5 of 5

Loved the location, large enough house where you were not right on top of one another -- a great overall experience for our friends that had never been to Boise. Wonderful coffee shops (Hyde Perk was our usual!) and great restaurants and shopping just a few blocks down from us. Parking was never a hassle and the home was large enough where we were not right on top of one another. Boise is simply a fantastic city and worth the time to get out and explore.

Description does not do this property justice. Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. We were in Boise for our son's wedding and It was fantastic for small and larger gatherings. Could not recommend more highly-far exceeded expectations! **********

Loved our "Home Away from Home"

  • 5 of 5

Big Blue was a great place for our family of 6! We stayed a week and loved it. Being only steps away from Hyde Park's "downtown" was such a perk. We could walk for coffee at Hyde Perk in the morning and have Goody's Ice Cream at night. The house was well appointed and comfortable.

Property was fantastic in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Came to Boise to see our youngest daughter graduate from Boise State. This property was amazing for 7 adults. With four restaurants, a coffee shop and ice cream parlor within a half block, the location is unbeatable. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Boise Idaho.
