About Morgan Brooke

We are a family of four who reside full time in Kirkland, Washington. We both keep very busy working in the Seattle area and raising our two young children.

Morgan Brooke purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Morgan Brooke chose Snoqualmie Pass

The cabin is a great getaway for our family. Although, we enjoy our home in Kirkland, we also enjoy the great outdoors, hiking, and skiing. It is a great place to go to relax and rejuvenate and to get away from the crowds of the city. It is also super close to all the ski-lifts on the mountains, but then at the end of the day it is great to settle in with a movie or just in front of the fire with our family.

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin is very nice inside. It is made for anyone, any couple, any family or families who just want to getaway and enjoy the quiet of the great outdoors. Snoqualmie Pass has some great skiing and only 45- 55 minutes from Seattle. The ski lessons for children are the best around.

Very nice stay!

  • 4 of 5

Upon arrival, the house was very clean and inviting. The space fit our 2 families perfectly (4 adults and 5 kids), everyone had their own bed, which was ideal. The fire pit and hot tub were a nice bonus too. We found the TV room to be quite cold (temperature wise), so we spent all of our time on the upper 2 levels of the house. This location is great for hiking in the summer. The owner, Morgan, was excellent and very responsive to our questions and needs. All in all, we had a wonderful time at the Cozy Cabin :)

Owner's Response: Hi Niki, I'm glad you and your family had a great stay at the cabin. I'm sorry to hear you felt the entertainment room was too cool. The pellet stove works great and gets it nice and toasty. Thanks, Morgan

Enjoyable stay

  • 4 of 5

The house had an excellent lay out for our two families: 4 adults and 4 children. We each had our own space allowing for time away, but there was also a rather nice communal room when we all came together. Proximity to skiing and sledding were close and the mud room was perfect for those transitions. It would be 5 stars as we had a wonderful 4 nights except for the following: upon arrival the hot tub was 80 degrees. Not until the next night did it reach 100. A bit frustrating as that was one of the main reasons we choose the house. There were a few other trivial issues but the owner was quick to find solutions.

Snoqualmie Pass is a beautiful area in any season. There is great hiking and great skiing all around depending on the season.

Our favorite places to visit around the cabin are Snoqualmie Falls, the town of Snoqualmie (great restaurant- The Woodman's Lodge), North Bend (Home of Twin Peaks), Roslyn (little coal mining town), and Suncadia Resort. North Bend has outlet malls for shopping, great hikes on Mt. Si, and many festivals in the summer. Roslyn is a sweet old mining company that has a few great little places like the Roslyn Café that is famous for the show Twin Peaks. Suncadia Resort has a great lodge, two great parks for kids, biking trails in the summer, cross country and tubing park in the winter, and a wonderful winery with great food. Of course in the winter you are just minutes away from the four ski lifts Summit East (Hyak), Summit Central, Summit West, and Alpental. These all have lodges and offer downhill skiing, cross-country, and snowshoe trails. A few minutes away across from Central Summit there is also a huge tubing park. If you want to got for a sledding adventure there is a huge sledding hill down the way from us as well and we have sleds in the garage you are free to use. Right by the sledding hill there is a great cross-country trail. One of our all time favorite spots in any season whether it is a snowshoe adventure or a nice hike is Gold Creek Pond. That is just minutes away as well. There are great views of the Cascade Mountain Range and a perfect loop.
