This tasteful home is located in a small, secure GATED COMMUNITY in an upscale area of Northeast Mesa - close to the Tonto National Forest. The property has been totally renovated to a high standard. Vaulted ceilings and travertine floors compliment the superior quality furnishings, kitchenware, carpeting and accessories and granite counter tops. Brand new carpets were laid and the garage floor epoxied in November 2016.
BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS:
This property will sleep a maximum of 6 people.
There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - with a split floor plan.
1 large Master bedroom with King bed and vaulted ceilings. There is an LG TV in bedroom. The en-suite bathroom has a beautiful granite counter top and double sinks. Separate toilet. This Master Suite area is situated on one wing of the house.
1 bedroom with Queen bed
1 bedroom with Double bed. These bedrooms are situated on the opposite wing of the house and share a second bathroom with granite counter top.
KITCHEN AND DINING:
The kitchen and dining areas have vaulted ceilings. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and is newly and fully equipped. Guests will find supplies of tea, coffee, milk, bottled water, basic condiments and a bottle of red and white wine for their use! There is a dining table that seats 4 people and can be easily extended to comfortably accommodate 6. All china, cutlery, glasses, and place settings are good quality.
The living area is open to the kitchen and dining areas and has high vaulted ceilings. Tastefully decorated and accessorized, 6 people can comfortably relax, talk, read or watch the large wall mounted television opposite the seating area. There are a variety of books and games available for guests' entertainment. A comprehensive binder full of information on local shops, restaurants, recreational activities, spas, medical facilities, tourist attractions, maps and other information is available to guests. HIGH SPEED wireless internet and a wireless printer are available to guests.
A washing machine, clothes dryer, ironing board and iron can be found in the laundry room. The closet in this room also houses a vacuum cleaner.
BACKYARD AND PATIO:
The small but beautiful backyard is accessed through double patio doors from the kitchen area. This yard is maintenance free and was professionally re-landscaped in the summer of 2013. There is a secluded terraced area with patio table, umbrella and seating for 6 people. Artificial turf has been laid at one end of the backyard and there are a variety of flowers and shrubs, which attract the hummingbirds. A new barbecue can be found on the back patio adjacent to the kitchen. The backyard can also be accessed by 2 locked gates (keys provided) at either side of the house.
There is a double garage with space for 2 vehicles and bicycles are available for rental upon request.
There is a good sized community pool and separate spa for guests to use (accessed by security key fob only). An attractive clubhouse houses an exercise room with a variety of equipment for use.
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES IN AREA:
Two excellent golf courses are almost on the doorstep (less than 1 mile) and many other courses are within a 10 minute drive of the property. Nearby Usery Mountain Recreational Area offers walking and biking trails, archery, picnicking and an abundance of wildlife. Free scheduled guided walks and desert nature seminars are given by the Park Ranger. The Superstition Mountain Range and Lost Dutchman State Park are close by and provide magnificent scenery and opportunities for horseback riding, hiking and picnicking. A visit to the ghost town of Goldfield and the Mining Camp Restaurant in the same vicinity are also recommended.
For those who love the water - Saguaro Lake is a 15 minute drive away and offers motorboat, kayak and pontoon rentals. Daily narrated cruises on the Desert Belle are available and there is a restaurant overlooking the lake. The beautiful and dramatic Canyon Lake also offers these amenities and daily cruises on the Dolly, and is a scenic 40 minute drive away. The famous Mesa Market Swap Meet Market is 10 minutes by car and will provide an entertaining day and the opportunity to make some unique purchases.
For Sports enthusiasts the NEW MESA BALLPARK (opened in 2014) is 10 minutes drive away and is the new Spring Training Ground of the Chicago Cubs. Mesa is in the heart of ARIZONA'S CACTUS LEAGUE SPRING TRAINING action, with the opportunity to watch more than 200 Major League Baseball games in just 30 days. CHASE FIELD is also 20 minutes away and several guided tours run each day.

I had a wonderful stay in Mesa at this property. This was my first VRBO experience and it was excellent! It was spacious enough to share a Christmas celebration with my family. It had everything we needed, even to cook a Christmas dinner. The location is wonderful if you need to be in the Mesa area. The access off 202 is so easy. There are many great restaurants nearby, even within walking distance. Drug stores, grocery all nearby. I highly recommend this property! I know I’ll be back!

I was in Mesa for 10 days to visit my elderly mother. This home was perfect. It was clean, well decorated and equipped, and very conveniently located. The owners were great to work with. I would rent from them again!

We had an extended stay in this home-the second time that we have rented from Helen and Bob. As was the case with our previous experience, this home more than met our expectations. Upon arrival, we were met by our host who provided us with a gift basket with some ‘basics’ to get us started such as cereal, cookies, water, fresh fruit and even wine. The house
has all the amenities and is comfortably-and tastefully-furnished. The yard, though small, has been completely re-landscaped and features a nice patio area with a propane barbecue and ample seating. Just down the street is a ‘clubhouse’ with a community pool and exercise room etc. Located with easy access to the 202 freeway and minutes away from 3 top notch golf courses (Longbow-our favorite-, Las Sendas, and Red Mountain). If you are golfers, you couldn’t be in a better spot. The neighborhood- definitely a dog-friendly one- is a mix of retirees, working singles and families with children young and old.
The house is exactly as is shown in the pictures-there are no ‘surprises’ such as those we have heard about from friends in other rentals. You can be confident that ‘what you see is what you get’. We can also guarantee that you will not find friendlier or more accommodating hosts than Helen and Bob.
DAY TRIPS: Too many to mention!! The Boyce Thompson Arboretum, Old Town Scottsdale, Apache Trail Scenic Drive, Heard Museum, Phoenix Zoo, CHASE Field, Desert Botanical Gardens, The Olive Mill and the beautiful town of Sedona are just a few!
Additional information about rental rates
Mandatory Mesa Rental tax at 1.75% on base rental for stays of 29 nights and over. Tax rate of 6.75% for stays of less than 29 nights. Small dogs accepted at a charge of $30 per dog per week. An extra $50 will be added to the cleaning fee if the renter has brought a dog with them. Additional damage deposit of $100 if renter brings a dog (fully refundable) We do not accept cats in the property.
