The property is fantastic!
We enjoyed a lot the stay in this property. The kitchen was very well equipped, the towels were good and enough, the room very nice. Things that I would change would be that the sheets and covers were run down, not well cleaned when we arrived. We washed all the covers of the beds the first day since they were either dirty, stained or full of animal hair.
There was also a problem with the alarm going off for "low temperature" every day. I hope that was an issue easy to fix. Other than that, it was a very beautiful vacation time for me and my whole family. Thanks
Delightful Place to Stay
Our trip to your house in Belfast was a huge success! The biggest element was your house, which we found to be a very delightful place to stay. Everything worked, and Eric was most helpful in all ways. We had excellent weather, and the house is perfectly located between Acadia and Waterville, where we got my granddaughter graduated. Thanks for letting us share this treasure of yours!
Exceptional find in a small town.
Great home for our family vacation with 6 adults and a 3 year old. Plenty of room to spread out or gather together. We enjoyed the views and spent lots of time on the outside deck overlooking the bay. Young's Lobster Pound was a memorable dining experience and our day trip to Acadia National Park was impressive. We utilized the large, updated kitchen for many meals and were happy to relax in the theater room after busy days of sight-seeing. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.
What a view!
My family of 12 was wowed by this spacious, state-of-the-art home, right on the shore. We ate most meals at the huge table on the porch. There was a great ocean view from most rooms and the location was close to shops, restaurants and the grocery store, although you do need a car in this town, no public transportation. We also enjoyed the beautiful pool table they have. The listing is accurate and the manager was quick to respond to any questions. I would return and I would recommend this place to anyone. Be sure to eat at the nearby lobster pound (I can't think of it's name, but ask anyone in town).
Thank you. We are delighted that you enjoyed your vacation. It also helps when the tenants are lovely, as is your family. The lobster pound is Young's Lobster Pound but of course mid-coast is packed with great food and drink - such as Delvino's downtown and Francine's in Camden. We hope to see you again.
Amazing House on the water!
My wife and I were in heaven when we were here. It is very secluded with only one other house on the road. The house itself is amazing; home theater room, pool table, hard wood floors and granite everywhere. If I could purchase the house from the owners, I would in a minute! The owners were very pleasant to deal with, great with communication and friendly which added to the relaxing atmosphere. Belfast is a typical coastal Maine town with lots of small shops and tourist attractions. Perry's Nuthouse is a MUST see! There is no way to go wrong if you rent this place. My wife and I are thinking of making it a annual stay.
Thank you! And we are delighted you'll be back again this year. There's a new mini-golf facility down the road and a family game center with bowling, but that may take a few more weeks for completion. Still the lobsters are fresh and the downtown eateries are cooking them up, so arrive hungry!
Belfast is where hipsters meets yogis. During long beach walks you'll see the city's award-winning restaurants, happening bars, down home breweries, local art galleries and even exclusive and expensive cheese shops. But we still have the state's oldest Co-op, with farm fresh produce, organic specialties, homemade sandwiches and holistic remedies. Not to mention harbor-side yoga, paddle boarding and boating. Short driving distance from wineries, hiking, whaling and fishing. Children's dance and theater camps are close while opera, and local professional productions are presented year round. The lobster and coleslaw are forever fresh and the backdrop will never disappoint.
