140' feet of private beach, fire pit, fireplace, internet, sat TV, wooded lot - Harrisville is a great little town. shopping, fishing, golf all near by. There are many restaurants and bars in town. The beach has a great fire pit for roasting marshmallows and hot dogs over the fire!

We live in Sarasota FL and spend the early summer at the cabin.
ANN and Mike purchased this cabin in 1984
our family cabin has seen 3 generations spend summers here. A great place to get away!
golf, harbor near by fishing too!
As a child, my family stayed up here about four miles up the shore. So I was able to connect with that wonderful experience of 50 years ago by staying at this lovely cabin on the most beautiful of the Great Lakes, Lake Huron.
The sunrises were stunning as I remembered.
The cabin was very comfortable and had everything you would ever need.
The grill and fire pit were used every night.
Walking the beach, watching the Great Lakes freighters, observing the star show at night and listening to the crashing waves were a few of the treasured delights.
Our dog Sparti thoroughly enjoyed chasing her Frisbee in the waves.
Couldn't get a signal for the TV but we did not care.
Did use the WI FI. Cell phone service was in and out, not an issue for us.
Everyone we met in the Harrisville area was friendly and helpful.
We picked up some Pinconning cheese and locally smoked fish, more great memories from the past.
We plan on renting again, we loved it!

It was a first experience for my and friends families to rent a vacation property. I am excited to share that it was an awesome experience for us. This time we just stayed one night but wish it could be more. Would definitely try to have it every year. Homeowner Ann has taken care of property very well and when we reached it was perfectly clean and all the stuffs were there that are required to stay, more than what we had expected.
Property location was wonderful with beach in front of your door. We had kids also and they also enjoyed a lot on sandy beaches. No words to explain sun rise view. It was fabulous. I would recommend everyone go there with friends and family and have fun ! Thanks Ann for all your help to make our stay wonderful.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is spic-and-span and very well-appointed with everything you need, even lots of games for rainy days. The furniture and beds were comfy. The setting is idyllic and quiet and the sunrises and moonrises were spectacular. Big beach firepit and tons of wood. Glider Adirondack chairs and a big wooden swing perfectly positioned to watch the sunrise. The beach is great but beware, the rocks are big and plentiful. It was hard to walk in the water to the sand bar when the waves were strong. That's the only factor keeping me from giving 5 stars to this lovely property.
We were lucky enough to have good weather 5 of the 6 days that we were there!
If your looking for privacy and relaxation this cabin is for you! The trees and shrubs on both sides gives you a sense privacy and that's exactly what we were looking for! Beach was a little rocky, so bring beach shoes or go down a few cabins and the beach is fine. We will be coming back! Depends on what your looking for, but it suited us just fine!
Property was clean and Ann was very accommodating, from the time we booked up until we checked out. Overall a pleasant experience. We had about 11 ppl for our girls trip and we had enough space for everyone to sleep, short of two sleeping on an air bed. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. The view of the lake from the back yard was beautiful and private. Cell service sucked but they offer wi-fi which helped keep us in touch with family back home as well as a cabin phone. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Wife and I stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary and for a dog trip as well (we have two black labs). The property is in very nice shape. Very clean, good windows, decent bed. About the only downside is the well water has a very strong sulfer smell, but we drank bottled water the whole weekend. Property manager keeps it in good shape. While they do have internet access, don't expect to do much beyond checking email. Feels like it's low end of the spectrum on speed. TV has limited channels (like basic Dish Network service) with just a few HD channels. No cell service for a ways up here with Verizon.
The pictures here really don't do the property justice, I would recommend adding more from the beach. REALLY nice sandy bottom with a few big boulders that you have to be careful of as they're under water. Great fire pit and the place is in the middle of the woods. Very quiet, except for the midnight train that runs during the weekdays once or twice at night!
Water was pretty cold, and I was only able to get into it waist high the first day. The other days were mid 70s and just isn't warm enough for me, but the dogs sure loved it! Looks like you can go out a fair distance before it gets deep.
If you like hiking, the Huron National Forest is right next door, and we walked a number of trails. Do yourself a favor and go down to Lumberman's monument if you can.
For golf we played 9 at Logger's Trace, which while a nice layout, is below par condition (long fairways and greens, etc). However we played White Pine National which was very lady friendly, but still a good test from the back tees. Beautiful course!
