The Magic of Maui... Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands and its magic brings people back year after year.
The Island offers something for everyone; whether it be watching the whales (approximately 3000 humpback whales winter in the warm Maui waters), golf on one of the Island's 18 Courses, walk along one of its' many beautiful beaches (81 in total), hike to its' spectacular waterfalls or visit the world's largest dormant volcano - Haleakala. In addition, Maui boasts every other sporting activity you could wish for (see activities listed below).
Menehune Shores... Menehune Shores is a six-story building equipped with elevators and a rooftop terrace providing barbecues, picnic tables, lounge chairs, and magnificent panoramic views of the ocean and the Island. On the main level is a restaurant and lounge with ocean side dining.
The grounds around Menehune are meticulously maintained and include an oceanfront heated pool, a second barbecue area and a shuffleboard pad. Menehune Shores is centrally located, only minutes away from world-class golf courses, shopping and all other activities.
The condominium unit is located on the scenic top floor of the Menehune Shores complex. The private Lanai (patio) can be accessed from the Master bedroom and the Living room; both enjoy fabulous ocean views. The flooring throughout the unit and Lanai is tile.

My wife and I celebrated 40 years of marriage by going to Hawaii for the first time. This condo at Menehune Shores in Kihei was a great enhancement for our stay in Maui. The location is not in the pricey resort areas which allowed a less congested and more relaxed feel. All the activities you would expect in Hawaii were an easy drive. The pool was more than adequate and the beach was only a few steps from the pool. On the way to the pool were 3 almost brand new looking Weber grills and there were more on the roof with several picnic tables in both areas.
The town of Kihei was less than a couple of miles away and it provided local and chain restaurants, drug stores, food stores, gas stations, a post office and other necessary shops for our stay. Bigger stores such as Target and Costco were on the way from the airport which was an easy 20 minute drive.
We’ve stayed in about 5 condos in different states over the past 3 years and this one was by far the best equipped. The kitchen was well stocked and there were beach towels and beach equipment in good condition, ready to use. Talking to other residents and renters, we found this condo to be one of the few to have air conditioning. The tropical breezes were nice but the weather was abnormally very hot and humid during our stay. There were plenty of ceiling fans to keep the condo comfortable when the heat dropped off. The furniture and the beds were very comfortable. The owners prepared a detailed information notebook about the condo which was very helpful. There was a great view from the master bedroom and the lanai. There were multiple elevators to get us to the 6th floor and security was never an issue on the property or the condo. There were plenty of channels on the HD TV and the WIFI was very fast.
A luxury condo this isn’t but it was certainly premium with a great value for the price. I would recommend this condo for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. It was even equipped with portable small crib and booster seat for a little one!
Our visit in Maui was absolutely amazing. This is our second time booking in this unit and we absolutely love it. If you need anything at all, you just contact Lynn and Murray but everything is self explanatory in this unit. We had our two teen age children and there was plenty of room for everyone. We are already planning to make arrangements for our next trip back!!!! Thanks Lynn and Murray for sharing this piece of paradise with us:)
