Our second time staying at this home and we probably will be back!

Clean, well equipped home. AC in the rooms was great because of a heat wave.

Wonderful experience!

What a beautiful home! We were warmly welcomed - even had a bowl of fresh strawberries waiting for us. We had absolutely everything we wanted or needed.

It provided a real home away from home for three of us.

  • 5 of 5

This was a very convenient location for us just 10 minutes from our daughter's house in Montclair. It's a lovely home in a quiet, beautifully landscaped residential neighborhood. It's easily reached from the airport, and the dedicated driveway parking was a real plus! The home is large & spacious, well-designed with the bedrooms & bathrooms away from the other rooms. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. We loved having the gorgeous secluded garden to ourselves! We'll definitely recommend it to friends & relatives who visit from afar.

too many things broken, and not very clean

  • 2 of 5

First, a few positive things. The location is in a safe area, and fairly convenient to access San Francisco and the Bay Area, but there are just too many problems with the house. In no particular order:

- the stove handles all are broken, and continuously fall off. Such an obvious and easy thing to fix. This demonstrates that the owner just doesn't care about the small, but important things.

- the coffee maker was not cleaned and it was frankly quite dirty, full of coffee grinds, and it took me about 30 minutes to clean it, so at least that will be clean when you arrive.

- there are countless stains on the chairs, floor, and on the ceiling, and in one particular room, quite a bit of chipped paint

- there are not enough blankets in the master bedroom, with just one small sheet and the bed cover.

- the ice maker in the freezer was not working, and the filter on the refrigerator for the water had not been changed.

On a positive note, there were quite a few plants in the house, and it was decorated OK. It was also well-stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, and utensils.

Overall, I would not recommend staying here at the designated price. The owner should take this opportunity to clean and make a lot of repairs and upgrade the unit materially.

Clean, Convenient, and Charming!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this Oakland residence was quiet, and charming. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the house, and shown in details all the amenities that this property possessed. We absolutely loved the location, neighborhood, and convenience to the church that our daughter married at. Hopefully sometime soon, we will return, as my daughter lives close to the location, and we can stay at this beautiful, clean, and green thumb property! Unusual plants/flowers adorned the inside & outside of the property, if only the weather had cooperated, and didn't rain just about the entire time of our stay! Mostly, we shopped in the nearby area's, cooked our morning meals, as we busied ourselves planning the wedding! Bravo Manuel! A wonderful home away from home! Thank you!
