About owner/property manager
We are what folks call - 'Nuggets', which is a slang term for the local mountain folks. Mark & I grew up in the mountains of northern Lumpkin County, waited a long time to get married and finally tied the knot a few years ago. We are parents to a beautiful, smart and funny 3 year old, one spoiled rotten diva-mutt and a grouchy 20 year old cat. We waited a long time to get married so that we could travel the world and wanted to give back to the wanderlust spirit by opening our cabins to people of the same heart. While we do not travel as much now, we continue to spend our free time playing in the woods of the beautiful mountains we call home.
owner/property manager purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why owner/property manager chose Dahlonega
Because its home. It’s where we were raised, where our ancestors were raised and we'd love nothing more than to share the beauty of our home with you!
What makes this Cabin unique
We know every creek, mountain, waterfall, pawpaw patch and blueberry bush on these mountains. If you'd like to see something that no one else knows about - we know where it is. Just ask us.

Nice get-away cabin for two people. Clean, quiet, and relaxing!
Thank you so much Jan! Please come again.:)
4 of us visited Dahlonega for a little wine and relaxation in early October. The cabin was cute, and with the directions, very easy to locate!
We got in a little late and so it was already dark, but some lights had been left on for us which was helpful. We spent the weekend visiting some wineries (which were all only 10-15 minutes away), and hiking.
The weather was perfect, and although the cabin was a little tight with 4 girls (we knew this going in) we had everything we needed for a great stay!
Thank you so much Amber!! I'm so glad you guys had a wonderful time. Please come again.:)
Charming Cabin Deep in the Forest
This is a clean, cozy cabin with a bedroom (with a very comfortable bed), a full bathroom, and an open area that includes a full kitchen (well-stocked with dishes, utensils, pots & pans, etc.), dining area and living area. There is a comfortable sofa that folds out into a bed. My favorite part was a door leading from this living area to a deep, covered porch. The porch is very private and overlooks a little cleared area that includes a fire pit. It was in the 90s while we were there, so we didn’t light a fire, but it’s so darn cute, it tempted me! There’s also a table, chairs and a grill out here. The cabin itself is super clean with nice touches like a stone fireplace wall and ship lap ceiling.
We arrived about midnight, and I must admit, I was a tad nervous as we drove down a looong (paved) one-lane road in the pitch dark then turned onto an even narrower road that passed another cabin, a baying dog and headed up a steep hill-but once we arrived safely, I felt like we’d found a hidden treasure. There are two cabins that look very similar up here.-Trout and Bear. It was nice to have a neighbor, but the way the cabins are situated, you can have as much privacy as you want. We stayed in Trout. I liked it bc porch was so private. We ate breakfast out here, and it was a great place to read.
The owner is indeed a super-hostess who answered every question we had, and did everything to see we had a nice stay. It took us about 20 minutes to get to Dahlonega, and it’s a lovely winding drive. I wish we’d had more time to check out some of the nearby wineries and do a little hiking. I would definitely go back.
Thank you so much! You guys were amazing guests. Please come back anytime!!!
Wonderful Cozy Cabin
We decided to evacuate for the recent hurricane and we thankfully found this cabin. Brooke went above and beyond for us! We had a wonderful time and relaxed (as best as we could). The boys had so much fun and are all ready asking when we can go back!!
Please come back any time!!! Hopefully at your leisure rather than because of evacuating.
My family and I had a wonderful relaxing weekend staying in this cabin. It had everything we could have needed and the owner was just amazing to work with. I would definitely recommend.
Thank you so much Kali! Please come stay again:)
My wife and I were looking for a place to get away for the weekend. This cabin was absolutely perfect. Only about an hour from where we live. We will definitely come back to it one day. Thanks
