-retro 50's style refrigerator

-two flat screen TVs built in the walls

-a screened in sleeping porch

-private hot tub area

Maximum occupancy 4

queen master bed, queen in loft, queen sofa-sleeper, full futon or hammock (on porch)

The inside of the Treefort is a combination of old, new and funky. The Treefort itself was built in 1925 and was the old servants quarters for the property. We ronnovated it in 2013 with the intention of blowing everyone's minds. It is definitely the coolest small house in Asheville.

Due to Asheville City restrictions, we only rent out the Treefort once a month. The rest of the month, friends and family utilize the property. Because of these restrictions, we prefer to rent the Treefort for longer durations and will offer discounts for week long stays or longer. Please inquire.

Important Note : This property is in a residential neighborhood. If you plan to come into town to party late into the night, this is not the property for you. We also do not allow extra people to stay overnight. Also, only those that are listed on the rental agreement are allowed to stay.

The Treefort appeared exactly as the photos depicted.

We had a great time. Charlene was very friendly and accommodating. Our only issue during our stay was an abundance of ants. We kept our food in the refrigerator, cooler and the car. Charlene set out baits and later sprayed but nature won regardless. My one warning about this house: Do not climb up to the loft if you've got any fear of heights...I made that mistake!

Owner's Response: This is the first time we have had problems with ants. It had been really dry and then rained for several days forcing the little critters inside. The issue has since been resolved.

Exquisite Treetop Escape

  • 5 of 5

This wonderful property beckons your inner (sophisticated) child. With windows opened, wake to the sound of birds and rustling leaves. Enjoy morning coffee on the screened porch as you prepare your day's agenda.

The home is conveniently located near several welcoming neighborhood restaurants or within an easy drive (or longish walk) to downtown. To the north of the home, there is a lake with a walking path around the perimeter.

One night, we had four in our group which worked but was tight for our us (really tall kiddos). Most of the week there were only two of us and the Treefort was perfect!

Charlene is an outstanding host! She is present if you need her, but not intrusive. Great recommendations on outings and food throughout the area.

Perfect, petite jewel box!

We loved our stay at the Tree Fort! 5 people was a little tight if you are looking for privacy but the place was charming and spotlessly clean. Loved the hot tub and the hammock most especially!

Asheville gem

  • 5 of 5

Treefort is a delightful, impeccably maintained property in a pleasant neighborhood less than 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. Inside, the owners made lots of great decisions on both decor and getting the most out of the space; HGTV types will especially appreciate it. (One note: the loft is for the nimble; my wife and I slept on the downstairs bed.) Outside, both the traditional mountain porch and the more zen-like hot tub area below it made staying there a special treat. It is a short walk to Merriman Avenue and several dining options, and if you want to go downtown but don't like the hassle of finding a parking place, etc. an Uber cab ride is only about $6. Charlene is very responsive and made the check-in process smooth and easy. The next time we are headed in that direction for a few days we will book Treefort if we can.

Beautiful & Serene

  • 5 of 5

The Treefort had everything we needed and more -- yet all in a simple, uncluttered environment.

The property is a mix of modern and Zen -- with a tiny bit of retro just for fun.

It's immaculate and well-kept. The first thing that greeted us as we opened the door was a smell of CLEAN. The view was just lovely. Several evenings we sat on the screened-in porch and remarked on the view.

We like to prepare our own breakfasts and we found everything we needed in the kitchen.

The bathroom features a heated floor, a nice bonus. Lots of shelving allowed me to put out my toiletries rather than digging through the travel case everyday.

Just steps from Merrimon Avenue, the location allowed us to walk to yoga, restaurants, the pharmacy, even Starbucks.

It was a straight shot to drive downtown for evening fun.

The zen-like porch downstairs features an ultra-clean hot tub. I also used this area for my yoga. I have to say the photos don't do this lovely area justice.

Our trip was a couple's getaway, but I could see the Treefort being used for a girls' retreat or family, as there are sleeping places in the loft, the pull-out couch, and the porch futon.

We will definitely return to the Treefort in the future!

Perfect!

Charlene's Treefort was the perfect stay for our week-long getaway. The screened porch was heaven...especially in the hammock. Our accommodations were extra clean and we loved the hot tub at night to relax. The neighborhood has some great restaurants.
