Quiet and cozy

  • 5 of 5

The home is located in a very quiet location. It was very clean, very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. The owner is extremely nice and quick to answer any questions.

Beautiful and Cool

  • 5 of 5

The house was very nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and the place was very clean. It had everything we need and a great air conditioner. The temperatures were about 100 while we were there and the air conditioner kept us nice and cool. We stayed a night in a hotel in Houston before going to Austin and the air conditioner could not cool the room.

This house has been completely redone inside.

Just OK

  • 3 of 5

Overall, the house is just ok. It was cute & clean on the inside, the location was easy. The furniture is somewhat worn & the beds were eh. But that didn't bother us as much as the outside. It is in desperate need of lawn maintenance. The overgrown shrubs made it difficult to even see the house from the street. It really does look like an abandoned property. We had no problem with the adjacent cemetery...those neighbors were quiet unlike the group of skaters that showed up to use the ramp directly across the street. Yes, they were loud but they also knew no boundaries, hanging out in front of the property's fence and leaning against our cars. We could have said something but thought it easier to let it go. Later that evening, a few couples showed up on the corner looking for a little private time. They quickly dispersed once they saw us. I think if the house looked lived in & cared for from the outside, you probably wouldn't have that kind of traffic.

Great quiet property!

  • 5 of 5

This was a nice, spacious 2 bedroom unit, with a great kitchen and living area. The towels, linens, silverware, plates, etc were all in great condition and came in handy. The first day, we walked from the Capitol building back to the apartment on foot, but due to the heat, we took cabs most of our other times into downtown. The unit was right next to the cemetery, so nice and quiet neighbors! We were the only house on that small block, so it looks strange as you pull up, but it's a great house inside.

A hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

This little house is the best kept secret on VRBO for the city of Austin, Texas. My daughter and I were doing a visit to UT and chose to stay here. The location is super quiet next to an empty lot and right across from the cemetery. The cemetery adds a lot to the property with its history and beautiful monuments. The house has been redone floor to ceiling and it is beautiful inside. Everything was spotless upon arrival and the owner was very quick to respond to any inquiry. We also enjoyed the development going on just 3 blocks south of the house. We found funky little food trailers and breakfast locations everywhere. Thanks for the great stay. We felt right at home.
