About Tim Onofryton

We are an active family! Peggy and I have two kids and we love to stay busy. We love to scuba dive, hike and surf in Hawaii. We also love to travel to far away places and experience new cultures. We are a very close family and especially love to spend time together where ever we are. We also have rentals in Phoenix, AZ and Northern Wisconsin.

Why Tim Onofryton chose Oahu

We absolutely love Hawaii and Honolulu and Oahu have so much to do. It's the best of both worlds, you can keep busy doing the tourist thing, or you can relax on the beach of Waikiki just steps away or take a drive to a less populated beach. The nightlife of Waikiki makes for an exciting evening, or a quiet dinner at home sitting on the lanai.

What makes this condo unique

This property is conveniently located close to everything has nearby access to beaches, shopping and touring. I know you will love it as much as we do! Come over!

Awesome view but condo needs some general fixes and upgrades

  • 3 of 5

The condo was nice and booking and information supplied by Tim was five stars.

When we were arrived at the condo there was a bottle of wine on the counter which was a nice touch, however, we we had a cupboard door that was off and laying on the counter. There were no condiments except for salt and pepper which was unusual in my experience. There is no laundry detergent, one roll of toilet tissue, one small box of Kleenex… The condo was clean but there are little things like the toilet seat extremely loose, the shower clothesline didn't work, you had to fight with the drapes to get opened and the drains needed to be cleaned.

I know there was a lot of security there because we saw them but we never checked in with anyone and came and went without ever a question on who we were. The laundry room that was for everyone use was so long and narrow the two people couldn't pass. Again the security were all on the seventh floor smoking area weren't seen anywhere else. I didn't feel 100% safe in the building as there were some sketchy characters. Again the security system looked unbelievable with all the screens and cameras but the security guards spent more time on their's Smart phones than noticeably watching the screens. We couldn't get CNN or other stations and had to continuously reboot the router.

Great location and beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with our 7-year old, and it worked perfectly. The condo is clean, updated, and has great views. Easy access to everything. The owners are kind enough to provide a couple of beach chairs and towels, which made things easy. Fireworks view is as good as everyone says!

Nicely Appointed and Relaxing Apartment

  • 4 of 5

This apartment is nicely appointed and is very comfortable to stay in, having most of the necessary items to make the stay pleasant. The decor is well thought out and the space works well in making one feel relaxed. There are a number of small issues within the apartment, but that is normal for any rental property, and this would be one of the better ones when it comes to ‘small issues’.

The view across the marina out to the ocean is unobstructed and is perfect for watching the sunset, as long as the clouds stay away, which they didn’t during our visit except for the first and last days. It’s not possible to see up the beach towards Waikiki due to the Hilton Hotel, but the view is excellent to the city and down towards the airport. The apartment is high enough to minimise most of the street noise, but the occasional shouts of the revellers in the street or music from the restaurant below will waft though the balcony doors. Nothing too dramatic though.

It’s a short walk to the Hilton beach, and then up the beach as far as you want to go towards the main beach at Waikiki, with plenty of places to stop along the way. It’s also a gentle stroll of about 20 mins in to town via the streets and into ‘Shopping Heaven’ as my wife calls it - not sure what my credit card calls it, but it’s slight distorted now due to excessive use.

A few points to make on the other side of the equation. Parking in the attached parking garage is expensive , and the ticketing system does not work - there are other less expensive local alternatives. Don’t waste your time asking the attendant for a new ticket because none of them will work - keep the original one and just take a new ticket every time you go in and then give them both to the attendant on the way out.

The apartment is very comfortable for 2 people, but would be a squeeze for 4. The balcony is just big enough to squeeze 2 chairs and a small table on, though be careful not bump the table when you stand if you have any glasses or stubbies on it.. Communication with the owner is spasmodic at best - we had a number of unanswered emails prior to and during our stay, so don’t rely on an answer if it’s an important question.

None of the above are deal breakers - all in all a very nice place to stay

ILIKAI MARINA CONDO

  • 5 of 5

The location is great and in close proximity to everything. The view is fantastic and as the property faces the harbor side, (not the main street) it is quiet in the evening. The place has all the amenities needed.

The keyless lock was easy to get in and out of. I am a local girl from Oahu and try to get home once or twice a year, I would definitely stay there again.
