Morzine..a deceptively spacious wooden 5 bedroom chalet on three floors close to the centre of Morzine. Ground floor with 1 double or twin bedroom with ensuite shower room & WC,1 bunk room sleeping 4, adjoining shower/bathroom with WC . The first floor had a major re-vamp in Spring 2015. It has a south facing balcony, sitting room and dining area and new fully fitted kitchen. 2 sets of triple doors opening out onto the wrap around balcony maximising the view over the Fys Piste and Pointe de Nyon in the distance. 1 double or twin bedroom, bathroom with bath, shower and WC and a separate WC. First floor with 2 double or twin bedrooms and a small shower room with WC. Outside, the chalet has a drive with parking for up to 5 cars but it's easier with 3. It has a garden with hard standing, grass and fruit trees. Although very close to the centre of Morzine and its restaurants and bars(10 mins walk) the balcony looks south to the fields and the Fys piste. The garage can be used for storing skis, bikes etc. A perfect combination of town and country and ideal for families.

5 bedrooms and only ten minutes walk to the centre of Morzine. The closest restaurant/bar, le Chaumiere, is just 100m from the chalet. Morzine has restaurants, bars, clubs, hotels, ski, snowboard and bike hire shops and we have an arrangement with Hubert Sports ( next to the Super Morzine bubble that gives those renting skis or boards from them the use of a ski and boot locker and a discount for our guests. This means you can walk down to and from the centre in normal shoes (although its never been a problem in ski boots) .

The whole of the ground floor was refurbished in 2012 and new underfloor heating, hot water tanks, and an additional shower/bathroom was installed so on the ground floor there is one double or twin bedroom with ensuite shower and WC and another larger bedroom with four bunks with its own adjacent bathroom with shower and WC.

The upper ground floor was re-organised to increase living and kitchen space in Spring, 2015.

Town and Country: The chalet appeals to those that enjoy the buzz of town life, but also to those who like the quiet of the country. We have many family groups staying that needed somewhere to kept children, teenagers, parents and grandparents happy! It is in the protected, rural part of town, just above the old centre of Morzine, with its bars, bakeries and restaurants and Mairie only a short walk away. In 2012 the fantastic new swimming pool complex opened just below the Super Morzine bubble. This has proved an additional attraction for skiers and non-skiers alike.

We love the chalet as it offers the best of both worlds to us. It is within 5-10 minutes walk of the centre of Morzine, yet is in the lovely rural part of town in Les Nants. We have enjoyed having 3 generations of our family staying with plenty of space. We love the south-facing balcony which goes from one end of the chalet to the other, overlooking the Pleney side of the mountains. We just wish we could spend more time there ourselves.

  • The newly refurbished bathroom on the middle floor has a double ended bath with fitted shower over. A small Shower room and WC has been installed on the top floor (2014) to serve the two rooms on that floor. Quality towels are provided.

  • Each of the bedrooms except one have two twin beds that can be put together to make a double. A bedroom on the ground floor has four bunk beds. There is a new bedroom on the top floor replacing an open plan mezzanine, and a new small shower room with WC (Summer 2014) serving the two top floor rooms. We only use egyptian cotton sheets. Underfloor heating and insulation in the ground floor add to the comfort in this lovely chalet. The other bedrooms are heated by adjustable radiators.

There are two flat screen satellite TVs showing the main French and BBC channels, one in the main sitting room and the other in one of the top floor bedrooms, wireless broadband and an iPod dock. An adapter is needed for newer iPhones. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in the integral garage on the ground floor. The garage can be used to store skis, boards, bikes and other sports equipment, and is set up as a changing area/boot room. During the winter there are an increasing amount of companies that offer catering in self catering chalets.

Great chalet for a large group, would use again

Had a fantastic stay at this chalet and would highly recommend it, a real find. Melissa was great in the lead up to the holiday, very helpful and informative which helped us as it was a late booking due to the AIRBnB we had booked not being as described so we had to find somewhere at short notice.

The chalet is a good size for a large group ( we had ten) there is plenty of space to eat and relax as well as more than enough space to sleep comfortably. The standard of accommodation was great for the price and it was all well maintained with a good standard of decorations and furnishings. There was also plenty of storage space so you didn't feel cramped in with coats and bags everywhere.

We had two small children and they loved it as the garden area was excellent for them to play in. It was big enough to build snowmen and run around in and play, this is something that many chalets don't have from experience.

The chalet isn't in the centre and is a walk up a hill from the centre so be aware of that is you are booking, this wasn't a problem for us. It took 12 mins to walk from the pleney lift in snowboard boots, would take longer in ski boots. The supermarket and Boulangerie are about 20 mins walk back up the hill so not too far.

This was a great chalet that we would definitely use again if we come back to morzine. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and the standard of accommodation was excellent for the price.

Brilliant. More than enough space for everyone and a really well kitted out kitchen for cooking. Dishwasher was a godsend.

Great Chalet ideal for families

This is our 2nd time staying at this chalet in Morzine and we have already booked again for next year! The chalet offers a lot of space which is great as there are 11 of us! It has a well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, a good mix of bedrooms and an easy walk into Morzine to the Ski lifts, shops and bars.

Just perfect in all respects!

When you've stayed here, nothing else compares! We were a group of 12 with 4 non-skiers. There is plenty to do in Morzine besides skiing so that didn't deter our little group of 4 ...... the chalet was so comfortable it was like a home from home. One of our non-skiers, an avid cook, said it was the best equipped kitchen he'd stayed in. We even managed to bake cakes every day for the hungry skiers. The garage level is just amazing for storing all the boots, coats & skiing equipment and with two very spacious bedroom with their own bathrooms, a perfect spot to store your teenagers too !!

We never felt cramped in the lounge area with all 12 of us and all managed to eat at the dining table.

For a large group who enjoys their home comforts then this is the place ...!!

Lovely Chalet, definitely recommended!

Beautiful chalet, very authentic feeling yet modern. 12 of us were staying in the chalet at one time and it never felt cramped. Great kitchen facilities, even for cooking for so many at once, also very social feeling as it is connected to the living room. Beautiful bedrooms and modern refurbed bathrooms. And most importantly there was always very hot water in the showers, even with so many of us.

Location is excellent, near enough to town for easy access to the lifts/shops etc but far enough away so you feel nicely nestled in the mountains.

I think I will book again next year.

Only ten minutes walk to the centre of Morzine, (and even closer to many restaurants, bars and shops), but close to fields this chalet is perfectly placed for groups wanting both town excitement and country calm, for both winter and summer holidays. On the route of the Tour de France and only 200m, cross country, from the Fys piste. The new Pleney bubble lift connecting to the Les Gets ski area is about 400m from the chalet. The Super Morzine bubble connecting to Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes du Soleil is about 500m. A newly refurbished main bathroom with shower, new en suite facilities (and additional water heaters and underfloor heating) make this a perfect chalet for skiers, boarders, walkers, bikers and anyone that loves the mountains. Well placed for mountain biking, walking, kayaking, white water rafting, and the many mountain sports Morzine and the surrounding area offers. An integral garage provides easy storage for skis, boards and bikes.

Other Activities: Snowboard and all winter sports

Ski: The chalet is close to the Fys lift so if you are skiing on the Pleney side (towards Les Gets) you can walk up the road (200 metres) and get onto the piste and ski down to the Pleney bubble lift. In the afternoon you can ski back on the Fys piste and if the snow is good, ski back to the chalet, or walk the last 200 metres. If you are skiing the Super Morzine side (towards Avoriaz and the rest of the Porte de Soleil and Switzerland) you can walk down to the lift in the centre of town. We have an arrangement with Mr Hubert of Hubert Sports, who has lockers, with boot warmers, in his ski hire shop, so if you or members of your party hire from him you can use a locker and leave your skis/board and boots there overnight, and walk back to the chalet in your own comfortable shoes. In addition we have negotiated a discount and his shop is very close to the Super Morzine bubble, and on a Friday evening they have a vin chaud party outside the shop.

We work on a Sunday changeover in the winter season. You arrive on a Sunday after 4pm and leave the following Sunday at 10 am (the six hour difference gives time to clean the chalet and make up the beds). During the summer we run on a Saturday changeover.
Please let us have your bank details when booking so that we can transfer the deposit back to you easily.
Pets are by arrangement only.
Security deposit is £ 500 which is refundable

We ask for an initial booking deposit of Euro 500 or £450 and this is held until after your holiday as a security deposit. We ask for the full rental eight weeks before the start of your holiday.
